Wow what a picture, this car has some contradiction stuff. The car from the looks is a select but sports the flap type fuel lid found on super selects. The wheel caps are also the ones found in International Fiat's. Rony has them on his Super Select as well.

What is a Lambretta doing at a FIAT gathering ? Interesting to see many "generations" at one place and time.

AFA I can tell, this isn't any 'gathering' (since FCCCI didn't exist then- nor were Fiats thought of as classics back then!) but just normal everyday traffic. Otherwise, what is even an RE doing there for that matter?
Aside- I know tis rather difficult to tell but what is that Black car visible partly, behind the Lambretta? I guessed twas a Standard Companion, from the squarish shape of the rear window, but open to correction!

If this picture was taken in Bombay, it has to be earlier.

In 2010 the police were no longer wearing blue shorts and a Gandhi cap

Also, the Loksatta van in the background suggests a picture taken in the late seventies.

Had a lovely chat with a fellow Parsi gentleman who owns a maroon colored 1100, parked outside his clothing store in the lane behind Parsi dairy farm.

He is a member of a fiat classic club, and loved the compliment I paid his car. That was the moment I decided to try to acquire a Fiat Elegant, destiny permitting.

I am hoping to receiving any buying advice and leads from fellow TBHP members.
