The typical ratty-tatty Fiat, very common in Bombay of the Eighties'

Quite a well maintained Fiat, considering its age.

However, note that the car is'nt a Dukkar aka The Millecento, but is a SuperSelect aka the Cut-Glass model. Some trims missing. Distinctive Cut-Glasses i.e Quarter Glass missing. It was a common security measure in the past, I believe.

A very SENSIBLY PRICED CAR, mind! Had I not got a Delight in my hands, and also, for lack of parking space, I would've bought this car to Poona, mind.

Cheers! The car made my day!

She needs "MORE" support and I mean, in respect to restoration:
Location: Western Expressway/Opposite TOI press-Kandivali, Mumbai.
Adjoining area is famous for temples made of marble.

Looks neat! I am sure all she is asking for is the wheels (the greatest invention of mankind) and she is all set to steal the hearts. There is someone who is in need of this and she is awaiting for that caring hands to come back to life, pretty sure now she is going to see better days henceforth.

And that's yours truly sitting beside him while he was driving!
I actually was (supposed to be) the navigator, though a rather poor one, being more or less a newcomer visitor to Bombay! Rony did, however, help most of the time!

Re: Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai

Enjoyed your company Stanher.

Your true passion is evident when you flew down all the way from Hyderabad just in time for the rally and your return flight was pre-booked for one hour after the finale at Acres.

I'm glad you enjoyed every bit of the FIATing we did all over Mumbai.

Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai

Here are few more images but not as clear as they are taken by the phone. The car went thru an extensive restoration mainly the tin work which was in a horrible state. Due to the amount of work it took to put it together and patience obviously came along, we could not go the original way so stuck to making it enjoyable and pleasing to the eye. Many parts could not be rightly sourced so pardon the modifications.

Complete tin work / engine & mechanicals / paint / electricals and upholstery. The whole nine yards here .

Some images

Cheers

Fiat 1100R Induction to FCCCI - Mumbai

Congratulations Kasli & Speedy!
FCCCI - Mumbai welcomes your 1100R amongst us, a car so unique and above all so passionately, professionally, painstakenly and patiently restored.
It sure is very pleasing in its present avatar and hoping to see it for our future meets and drives.

Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai

All Credit to Kaizad / Bhoot / Aslam / my mad seat guy - for actually agreeing to take this project up ! I just gave basic direction on what I had in mind and of what was needed

Just followed up on it and got the various heads onto a clear path of what the outcome should be . My bro was instrumental for the wheels, as the ones I had chosen would have never made the car look like this and so good. Anyway it's up and about & Will obviously turn up for the various meets.

Cheers
