Vow! What a car. Nice paint shade.
Even one of my favourite shades.

But feel pity for the neglected ITALIAN Grill.

My S1 boasted the same color albeit a little darker shade (Royal Maroon). Loved all the aluminum and nickel cosmetic bits shining with full glory on these dark shades of Fiat/PP.

@President: is it THE Original Italian full steel Grill. I doubt as steel grills don't fade away i guess.

These Italian Chromodora Grills were made of White metal and chromed. Once they develop pitting due to neglect or long unattended storage, they cannot be re-chromed to OH REE G NAL E T.

However, they really looked CHIC when new.
I doubt if they are ever made any more.

Hi Roni I think with todays technology one should be able to make this grill with a good CAD drawing and a CNC cutting machine in pure 304 SS.

Thanks Amol. That sounds really good.
We can look into this fabrication when needed in the future.

@amol: cad and cnc has given us real flexibility and it is now so easy to reproduce components and that too with better materials.

@ rony: yes this quality of electroplating is very much visible in the side trims and the wheel caps of our cars, none of the present day services and the repro (of that time and now) can match that. My original wheel cap looks a lot beter than the newly procured ones .

It seems everyone is too busy to take time out of their schedule.

Due to extremely poor response to the Drive, we have decided to postpone the drive to next month.

So the drive will be held on the 1st of August 2010. PLEASE FREEZE THIS DATE AND TRY NOT TO KEEP PRIOR COMMITMENTS!

Regards,
The Fccci Mumbai team!
