Thats a very very rare early mercedes Ponton glovebox handle that came on cars from 1953-59 that had wooden glove box doors. I have the same handle on my 56 Ponton Glove box.

Pardon my interruption guys.. IMHO the Fiat 1100's rear looks best with NO handle to open the bootlid. If the spring has given way, learn to gingerly lift up the bootlid holding the end of the number plate AND a bit of the numberplate light (like I do - my spring's totally shot ). Do not fit any handles please. Nothing looks good like a clean oh-ree-gee-nal dickey !!

@Amol: He he, no secret. Just bright sunshine after every shower, and generous dabs of petroleum jelly before showers . To be honest, surface rust spots are very much there, just have to keep rubbing 'em off !
@Allana: MRX6839 is mine. MRY3499 belongs to Rony (President), and I'll say is the best and most original super select I've seen !
@Manish: Wow you're lucky, even the Asha dickey locks are not available any more. Mine is a repro with no brand name..

Went to Kanheri caves for a Test run today. The road is BEAUTIFUL!! There is a slight patch of bad road for around 30-50 meters, but thats it. Otherwise, its all smooth sailing.

There is an entry fee though. Its Rs.50 per car and Rs.20 per person inside a car. Hence, if you are 2 people in a car, you pay Rs.90. But, Its worth it. Saw some Spotted Deer and some monkeys too.

Here Are Pictures from today:

Lovely pics Cy. My only worry is - is the road / terrain too dusty or full of mud / red soil ? Could it be bad for our tyres ?!?

No. There is no Red soil or mud. Its just really old concrete that is a little broken up. Nothing to worry about. Also, that patch of road is currently being repaired as we speak too.
