The quarter glasses were introduced in the Super Select model, which was introduced somewhere in 62, so it is a transition year. For 1962 models some do, some dont.

Actually that grille is a local item is steel, many cabbies sport them. The originals were in aluminium with a somewhat similar pattern.

I do regularly see a few of these (in Mahindra spec) plying Pune roads. Many with the cops. Put some of your men on the job, it can't be too difficult.

Thanks guys.
Looking for the Jeep FC with the separate cab and pickup bed at the rear. The winshield must be curved.
Most of th police vans were coachbuilt with a rather plane front and shoebox likeb shape. Any clues?

Cheers harit

These should be in plenty in smaller towns, but apart from the shell else everything would have been changed.

Why? Look at the effort. The side patti is neatly extended in a straight line. And something different, probably unique.
BTW, several Amby's were converted into stationwagons using the Maruti Van rear door.

Maybe the effort wasnt too bad, but probably could've been done much better if at a proper workshop- note the tail-lights jutting out beyond the rear end; the least they could've done was to flush them into the bodyline accordingly.

Yes, the patti is in a neat straight line. But the rear of the car isn't!

Amol, that sounds really good and yummy provided we are at least 8 to 10 of us together, so that we can meet up and party.

Therefore, I suggest that we start taking confirmations right away!
