Matt black bonnet and black wheels surely means Cyrus's drive. Guess you forgot to remove the spray paint bottle in the background.

White walled tyres are hard to find. So can a strip of white paint be painted on the tyres? Have any of you tried this?

Never tried, not sure if its ok to do this.. the rubberised paint on the tyres IMHO is a very specific paint and to be applied under factory conditions. Can't say how neat and long lasting a job it would be if done just like that..
I've heard on this forum that whitewall stickers are available in the US of A. Anyone know about this ?
BTW Arun, why don't you try ordering a set from Mumbai where they are still in plentiful supply ? I can find out details if you're interested.

SS.. aka SuperSelect: Boss, regarding the whitewall stuff, what you get abroad AFAIK are inserts, which are not stuck on, but fixed on. You do get whitewall, rubber paint which you can paint on after sanding the area where you want the white stuff to be.

White Wall Paint supplier

Hi folks I am attaching a link to a White Wall paint supplier who is a member of our MBZ ponton club, which is an international club for Ponton owners and enthusiasts. I think his product is awesome and reasonably priced. Maybe we can order a large consignment from him for people who want the White wall paint and maybe get a discount. I am looking to use this on my Lambretta.

Saw these cars in Devlali fire temple. Both are absolutely beautifully maintained by one very nice Parsi gentleman. Any guesses on registration numbers?

Best regards,

It will be great if this particular product works and is long lasting.
However, in the past, I have heard from enthusiasts, that, besides the expertise needed to spray on correctly after masking, it is not durable in the long-term and develops hair-line cracks. No harm in trying a new product though, as there are always good chances for improvement based on experience.

If you read the guys article, it appears the paint when applied with a brush leaves very less brushmarks and has develops almost no cracking, the only issue he talks about is yellowing which he claims can be solved with and extra coat. I will be trying this on my Lambretta though. Better than buying the plastic white wall rims.
