Lovely photos, thanks Rony. Don't we all look sufficiently worried about the outcome on the proposed ban on 20 year old cars ?

Dear all - MH05C29 is a 1972 model Fiat 1100 delite. It was originally registered as RJQ6000. It was owned by the chief justice of the rajasthan high court. The car was in Jaipur. The owner's brother who has a business in Kalyan (therefore MH05) near Mumbai brought it from Jaipur in 1991. He changed the complete body shell alongwith trim, seats and bumpers in 1993 (Rony - you will be very happy, there are no screws on the OOH REE GEE NUL door pads). The car was kept covered in stilt parking in Nasik from 1993 onwards and was driven very sparingly by the owner's brother who was Mumbai based but would use it very sparingly whenever he would visit Nasik. The car was eventually transferred in the brother's wife's name in 1994. The car has done only 52000 kms from 1972 till date (10000 kms in Jaipur and 42000 kms from 1993). The aggregates including the engine have never been opened. When I saw it for the first time, the battery was dead as it was not used regularly. I just put the battery of MRF6466 (which is currently under hibernation in Nasik alongwith BLL4919 and my LHD) and cranked the engine. It started briskly and water spewed out of the tailpipe. The documentation is perfect, the one time tax is paid, the body change is endorsed, the current address is of Mumbai, the Mumbai octroi paid recepit is available, the Mumbai municipal tax paid recepit is available and the certificate of fitness is valid till 2012. I liked it so I picked it up. All in all a good buy. Now Cyrus can do whatever "keeras" he wants to do with it. Just for information.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

More than the rains we were all scared that our Fiats would get complimentary black wheels and bonnet painting services.
