I saw this pic on a friend's Facebook profile. I think it's from TECHFEST 2013, but could also be from VJTI's Technovanza. Can anyone confirm?

Well, this is a VCCCI members car and since the event was in association with the VCCCI, this may well be the same event. Any more pictures?

Bulldogji may be wondering what his car is doing there.

The picture is attached separately as it did not copy along. As is becoming a trend, office bearers of VCCCI were the main beneficiaries, not the comunity. Some had seen the cars going there, just as the cars were spotted going to the Mulund event.
There is also some misrepresentation going on, VCCCI was not founded in 1963, The Vintage Car Club was founded in 1965, and that was not VCCCI. I have documentary evidence.
Between the two clubs, IARC was the club holding vintage car events.

A special exhibition of vintage and classical cars will be displayed at Techfest 2013 in association with The Vintage & Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI). The exhibition would contain some of the rarest sighted cars on Indian roads.

VCCCI is one of the oldest and most reputed vintage and classic car clubs in India. Th club has one of the largest collection of vintage and classic cars including brands like

Madras Heritage Motoring club is having their annual run to Pondy with a show there. Cars assemble at Besant Nagar beach on Saturday 19 January at 7 am with the flag off at 8am. The show at Pondy is at the Promenade,on the same day between 4 & 8 pm. FYI.

It would have been a wonderful outing for the cars and the drivers and a wonderful treat for the spectators enroute and at Saifai.

Surprising about this event is that there are no pictures seen anywhere. They say foreign participation, we know that Mohsin Ikram from VCCCP did participate, but which cars were out there participating?
One may notice that even for the cartier event, there is no list available, and there quite a number of last minute changes, maybe more to come. Latest, when the event is on one will come to know which cars participated, then it cannot be kept secretive. Whats the purpose of such secrecey?

On popuar request some photographs from the rally. The last one of the Rolls with Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh in it. Sadly too many people and security officers gathered around it to get a clear shot

CLASSIC INDIA 2013 - PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION

15 classic cars are flagged off in Delhi on Thursday for 30 nights of adventure in Rajasthan and Gujurat.

Classic car owners from the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland and the United States have signed up to Classic India 2013. They are flagged away on Thursday 24 January from the Imperial Hotel, Janpath.

The Rally visits magnificent forts and palaces in Rajasthan like Udaipur, Jodphur and Jaisalmer, as well as the fascinating state of Gujurat, often overlooked by tourists. The preservation of vintage cars is an important part of India’s history and on the Rally we visit several museums and collections.

Cars taking part include a 1925 Lanchester, driven many times in India by Peter and Sue Noble, a 1937 Lagonda L645 belonging to Michael Haentjes and a 1937 Chevy Convertible owned by Xavier del Marmol.

The Rally is organised by ROARR Rallies, a small classic car rally company based in Kent run by Conrad Birch. A property investor and keen car collector, Conrad organised his first classic car rally in 1999, the unforgettable 1st Jewel of India. Since then he has run eleven rallies and never tires of seeking out the best drives around the world.

Viewing of the cars from 9.30am to 10.30am on Thursday 24 January. Flagging off from 10.30am to 11am.
