My select also has all the glasses except front windscreen are sekurit make.

Some pictures from the Chennai - Pondicherry drive on January 8th and 9th of this month. The number of cars were restricted to 30 only this time and majority of them were regulars at the shows in Chennai except for a couple of cars. The star of the rally however was this amazing 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak.

I agree, the Pontiac is superb. The 190SL should get the rectangular foglamps, will look much better. See the attached pic.

This car was in very original shape and came from Tamil Nadu to Bangalore. We restored in Bangalore before being sold on to Chennai. This car was discussed in the Whitefield Rally held in Bangalore some time back.

Here are the pics, I took of the vintage cars/bikes at the HIAS expo today.

The MG and Singer were in the entrance lobby. There seems something out of place on the MG though- are the rims/tyres original to this model?

That blue Chevy tourer looks new on the circuit, any info / history on it.

The rims on the MG are smaller than they should be and the tires are also fatter. Maybe they couldn't source the right tires.

Who ownes the MG and the Singer. I don't recollect there being a MG TC with an APX plate in Hyderabad earlier not seeing a sliver Singer.

There were black singers and a white one so maybe one of them got resprayed silver ??

The black APX Sunbeam also looks new on the circuit ?

The Gold Star is also there ....please post some detailed pictures of it amd share the owners name if you can.

Wasif, this could be the missing MG of Kumar Varma, the PB? which used to be black and also yellow? The wheels are not correct, but still this is no TC either.

Come to think of it you must be right...the number looks very familiar. I thought thsi MG PB was in Mumbai ?

There used to be a maroon TC in Hyderabad with an APX number. The owners young grandson used to bring it out for the occasional events but have not seen or hear about t in a long time now !

The Singer belongs to the Agarwal gent who also owns the Wolseley golfer's coupe (IIRC) and also a Caddy I think?

APX Sunbeam has appeared in some of the DHAA rallies earlier.

I'd posted a pic. of the Goldstar, it appeared in a previous rally. Owner's name is mentioned on the board beside it. IIRC, this previously belonged to late Inderjeet Sherry.

Thanks Shyam. The Agarwal Singer ued t ne black earlier so its been thru a paintjob recently

He does have a very nice 7 seater Caddi, I had posted pictures here apart from several otehr very nice cars like a thirtied Buick Tourer, the Nizams Humber Super Snipe Limo,a mid thirties Daimler a Dodge rumble sea roadster and many more.

He also has an early RR Silver Ghost that looks more like a carriage, was in need of work in those days and was secluded nside their house.

You should try and visit him to see his cars

And coming back to the Chevy tourer, I just remembered reading the owner's name mentioned as Ashwin Yerabati- did you mention him to me once btw? He was a friend of yours from Sec'bad? who had an Orange Buick 8?
