Hi Stanher,
Mystery of the 3331,Lincoln has been cracked. It was purchased new by late Mr.Anantharamakrishnan in 1947. It was a 12 cyl ( straight or V12), with electric windows. It was sold sometime in early fifties. to your uncle.this info was given by his cousin who had driven this car.I now remember that I was given a ride in this car sometime in 1950-51.

The Lincoln engine is a V12 flat head design and it would have had electro hydraulic powere windows which were the norm on those cars.

There is one in Hyderabad too and also on plates starting with an M

Perhaps the car in Hyderabad is the same one MSP 3331.The family who originally owned the car may want to buy it,if it for sale & not a very fancy price

Glad that the mystery is finally solved! And after reading your post, I just called up my uncle in Madras and he recalled that the car was indeed bought by his uncle (Mr. Gopalsamy Iyengar) around 1954 or thereabouts. Prior to that they had a Dodge in the same colour (Black.) So it turns out that MSP 3331 was bought by them from your friend, and not the other way round! But either ways, I'm glad it turned out that we did have the car at one point.

I presume this is Rashid Bhai's car. I doubt if it was MSP 3331 though, as that car was originally black. And this car somehow does not show trace of a repaint.

I think the headlight position is not correct. They should be fitted lower and closer to the fenders.

Are those carbide lamps original stock parts?
