I have taken these pics on the morning of Supercar Rally when I was waiting at Atria Mall for my friend to pick me up.

This may be in the wrong thread but i have searched the forum and can't find anything on classic BMW's of the 1960's or 1970's?

Any links would be welcome.

BMW's of the 1960's and 1970's were rare cars in India. But nevertheless, they did come. Few were actually imported under TR, most were STC cars. Those cars were much more interesting than todays offerings.
In fact the first automatic car I ever drove was a BMW 2500 or so which belonged to a diamondwalla and was with my mechanic. In fact, that car was one of two cases against STC involving cars. Here the owner, a German in Delhi, managed to sell the car as 2 years younger than she actually was. The owner came to know when he asked BMW in Germany for duplicate keys. The othe case I believe involved Pranlal, do not remember the issue.
One old BMW was seen on tbhp in Goa, some maroonish in colour.

I have pictures taken at this very event. Cars are:
Daimler now in Bandra
Packard Pranlal collection. In front of it is a Mercedes 170V Cabriolet
Rolls-Royce PIII Pranlal himself driving it. There is an Amby in the background
Lagonda of Pranlal, the Ford A behind is Vohras car which is again up and about.
Pranlal Packard. Note the bonnet is painted in silver, not chromed, as it should be.
Rolls-Royce Wraith still in Mumbai
Bentley: ere I am slighly confused, colour may have changed, is this Pranlal's? In front is a Packard which is now in Delhi and available.

Yes it is indeed 80's with police constable in dark blue shorts, and a guy with BOAC shoulder bag, probably nariman point . In those days it started development for the office complexes.

Yes sir ! And look at those Yellow BMC signboards - No Parking, One Way, etc. And the "S" on the Hotel, than called the "Oberoi-Sheraton" !!

Look at the Bell Bottom trousers .

And where the S is seen, that was the entrance to the shopping center with the pastry counter just behind the door.
And the construction on the left side was to become The Oberoi which had that attack. In that very place was something called Mogul Garden from where the vintage rally started once.
The green trucks with cream upper body were the Indian Express delivery vans.
Any feedback on the red Bentley?

If I remember right the red and black Bentley was an ex TVS car, 3 1/2 litre, MRG 7700. Probably now on display at the Kathwada facility.
