Titus has the Ayodhya car, silver, and the second Ayodhya car will be in the upcoming Museum in Gurgaon. Titus has that 1938 limo from Trivandrum, which is being done in blue. That is a 1938. I know, both the Nagpur and Trivandrum cars went by very close to me.

Cheers harit
Thanks harit as always for the latest information on these Buicks.
The car BYJ 2901 was not with Empress Mills here, but with a mining magnate. It later changed hands after rotting for about a decade reaching the Upadhayaya collection. Thats when it was found restored and without the bumpers.I have a picture of this very car in Swagat magazine also with the name of its owner (2 years plus ago). Will post that soon.
But as you say it may not be with Diljeetji.

South Cars

The black car 4811 is a Mark 6 Bentley and not a Princess. The other is a Rolls Spirit

Anirudh, this is an Austin Princess MArk IV. It was introduced in 1956. This model lasted until 1959; though subsequently the large, specialised limousine version continued to be built by hand in limited numbers as the Vanden Plas 4-Litre Princess Limousine, surviving until 1968. Only 200 cars were made.

The Bentley mark 6 and the Princess Mark IV, Look quite similar but then the front fenders are different in shape. The Bentley also hand the Horn grills and parking lights(placed on the upper portion of the fender) which the Austin Princess didn't.

Here are a few pics for reference -

1934 Buick 90L

Any idea if this car still exists and where it is today?
it survives with a prominent collector in Delhi, this is not the ex ayodhya car which is silver now.

Yes Wasif , it is a Buick , a couple of years back I was asked Rs 3.5 lakhs for this car , I agreed to the price , but , the deal did not go through due to divisions in the family which owned the car . Now I have been informed the car has been picked up by a Delhi based dealer , there was a fight when the car was being taken away , with shots being fired .

WOW someone must have been really mad out there. Hope they didn't hit the car though.

I really love that picture. The car appears to have a halo of light around it.
