Morgans are not actually rare but in India they could be considered rare as there arn't many around.

In teh UK and other places they are plenty to be found and the prices are good and another thing to consider is that they are still available today in almost the same configuration as your granddad would have been able to buy !!

Ok, atleast one problem I hope to solve. Pic 8 is a 1929 Nash Tourer. Here are few pics for reference. The first is a pic I found from the net. The second is Mittal's Nash Tourer which I checked out at Mukherjee Udyog in Kolkata.

That sir, is not true. Although there's a myth that Morgans have remained the same through the ages, the truth is the marque has constantly seen small developments in the form of cleaner and more powerful engines, modern suspensions systems and cycle parts. Compare a 2009 Morgan Aero to a 1990 Morgan 4, and see the radical change in tech specs!

The only thing that remains constant is the build - all Morgans are handmade in the factory, and a large part of the body is built from wood.

Morgans are indeed rare in India, but they are still around. I have pictures of Morgans racing in India. Mumbai had about 3 to 4 Morgans, Pune had one on East street, there are in Delhi, Bangalore, must be more. Does the gentleman have any old pictures?

Morgans were always uprated and evolvolution was ongoing.
There were quite a few 3 wheelers in India, now apparently only one survives.

I too think the tourer is an Essex, not Nash.

'not meaning to sound picky but AAQ wouldnt be Hyderabad regn. but Kurnool (Q = Kurnool dt. in the old series)

Here's what looks like a 60s car I saw at an underground parking yesterday.

'couldnt take a better look as I was in a hurry to go elsewhere.

'not able to identify this car properly though. Anyone?

My first thought was of an early 1970s Aussie Ford Fairmont.

Observe the following:

1. Overall shape and size
2. Shape and location of front and rear quarter windows
3. Location of fuel cap
4. Bumpers

However the tail lights are different.

• Could be a different car or
• Could be a modified car.

Ram, my only opinion is that you're a genius when it comes to identifying mysteries in classic cars!! Kudos to you, Sherlock!

A pity that a nice pair of Vanguard tail-lights had to be sacrificed for this job though! 'wish I could have those!
