The blue car is an A40 sports, a very low volume aluminium bodied two door convertible / roadster featuring the standard A40 mechanicals.

I saw this car with Dr. R prakash in Banglaore ages ago.

Yup, its an A40 Sports. Easy to identify among the plethora of A40 models and variants - as it is the only one that did not feature those overflared front fenders.

Also, the Dorset was the 2 door coupe version of the A40 Devon. There were no covertibles in the Devon/Dorset range.

The A40 Sports featured a grille that was unique to this car as is the styling. it could never be confused for any of the other A40 variants.

For everyones benefit, here is a brochure scan.

Well, it would have looked nicer next to a post 67 Bug. And with my current state of finances and scarcity of good mechanics, I'm happier with my Padmini

I wish those ladies would step to the side - they're blocking the view of the topless beauties that interest me more!

Sorry, I did not quite understand this post. Because I have been able to see the thread in Vintage Cars - SantaBanta Forums .
There are some cars in India pictured, but also many forign based cars which have very nice colour combinations, could be used for reference when painting your cars.

Cheers harit
