That's a 1961 Plymouth valiant that I have been spotting on and off for several years. It used to shuttle between Madgaon and Belgaum. IIRC, the owner had another twin car as well. Have no clue what it's doing there by the road though. Might have come for tinkering and paint.

And here is a VW Dasher from the late 70's, it was an exclusive nameplate given to LHD Passats in the US, before they were called Passats.

Came across a beautiful Mazda after a long time. This model is from my younger days, now rarely seen. Where have they all gone?
It's a Mazda 929 of 1989, Petrol engine with an autobox, back on the road
after a 15 year long restoration. The result is beautiful.
It belongs to Harish Kumar from Tirupur. Not for sale as far as I know, just a car from an era when we grew up.

This Dasher belongs to a doctor from Bangalore who has had it since new. Car was bought into India when he moved base from the USA and I'd seen it a few months ago when it was in a garage for some minor work. Supposedly the only known example in the country.

Kerala especially Central Travancore region had a lot of Japanese imports brought in under TR from Middle East in the eighties.There were a few MAZDA 626 and 929 among them.Very very few survive.Reason- Most of these cars were handled by inexperienced mechanics and lack of easy access to spares led to they being non runners and finally ending up at scrapyards.
The fact that many were LHD hastened their demise. there is one 626 still in Trivandrum.
