Yup, had seen this Ghia in Goa being restored by Baretto. A very well done job, barring the painted bumpers (which now seem to be painted silver). Even the stylish engine lid badge has broken. This car was also present recently at the Bombay rally.

Are'nt the lines just stunning? This truly is the poor man's Porsche.

the Ghia surely looks sweet ! Nice curves, ans somehow the white suits the car. Bumpers should have been chrome though.

@karl - have some pics of ghia from Pune fest rally. whose car was it ??

That lovely Ghia was Abbas Jasdanwallas. It used to look fabulous in a deep prussian blue, I dont care much for the recent repaint. Though she's still a Ghia, and Gorgeous!

Bah humbug.... For a good Karmann Ghia please visit Delhi! And that also in Hot Yellow! Belonging to a dirty fellow!!

P.S. I can proudly say I've ridden in it & the owner was about to show me some Porsche-style tail-out action (ok poor man's Porsche style!) but some traffic came infront on us so the plan had to be aborted! But never mind, we shall indulge is some similar fun soon, now that the season for getting the older cars is here!

Uh, maybe because they had some extent of corrosion due to the weather there & he thought of keeping them that way until he could get them chromed?

The white 65 Fiat doesnt belong to Jasdanwalla, and neither does the painted bumper Ghia.

My hardtop Ghia will be in the same combo as Awinis, and my cabrio will be Coral Red.
