The green car you saw was probably a 2 door convertible, also belonging to him. Both are lovely cars.

Yes, it was!! Green with a beige soft top. Even the interiors were neat and tidy.

Thanks for the info Karl!

These are part of the Capt Pestonjee collection, at one time there were close to 150 cars and a nice collection of carriages parked at this location before they were moved to Abids !

The Jag is a Mark 7 and belongs to the owner of the property who is a lawyer !

How many cars are there now?

There was a huge Daimler there at one time with the entire body collapsed is it still around ?

Apart from this Jag, there was 34 Ford Model B, 2 plymouths and a couple of other cars, i didn't see any Daimler there, may have been tucked away in a row of closed garrages with shutters down....will upload photos soon.

Hi,

This Hudson was spotted by a friend a while ago. Not blanking out the number plates as it is a car that was shown as is in an episode of Malgudi days a long time ago!

regards,

Srinand.

Saw this vintage car during my visit to Mahishadal, WB to see the ancestral palace of my relative.

This car was brought there as part of a bengali cinema (Khokababu 420) which was being shot at the palace during our visit. This car has travelled by road for 100Km from Kolkata, so must be in good condition.

Don't know any details about the car except "Opel" written on the front and Super6 written somewhere at the side.

An APX Hindustan, well-maintained one...

This is an Opel KAdett owned by Mr. Gautam Mukherjee in Kolkata. The car is up for sale if already not sold.

From the front grille, it appears to be an Austin Cambridge. The Morris Oxford had a different grille:

If only this design was implemented by Hindustan, who stopped just with that of the Oxford series 3 (nee Ambassador!)

Spotted this fiat and a Buick today. While on our drive last Sunday on Marine drive mumbai - saw a deep brownish maroon forties car. Which I could not recognise. Had white walls and looked very graceful, sadly on the other side of the road so identifying was an issue

Cheers

It only looks neglected , the gentleman who owns it refuses to sell , haven't seen it run for ages now though.

Its been just over 2 weeks I have shifted to Chennai and I went Vintage Automobile spotting today. My friend too me to a garage where the owner is a proud aficiando of Vintage classics.I spotted a W123,A rare Audi Jeep,A Dodge under cover,Few Triumps,Nortons and Rajdoots.

Spotted this Lincoln Town car Limo at the pump yesterday. I know it does not fall in this category but its rare to see such limo's generally.

Cheers

Thats not a rare Audi Jeep. That's a DKW Munga. To show off, that's a Dampf Kraft Wagen Mehrzweck Universal Gelandewagen Mit Allradantrieb (phew!):p.

DKW (along with Audi, Horch and Wanderer) formed part of Auto Union. The 4 rings of Audi were earlier an Auto Union Emblem. However they do look out of place on the Munga. The Audi badge even more so.
