But if it were in Kerala earlier it shouldve had KR/KL plates right?

These flawless Variants were spotted at recent shows in Madras. Perhaps the green car is the same one in question?





I still cant get over the condition of these VWs. Note the rare accessory bumper guards on the green car, which is only missing windscreen trims.

Incidentally, MDN = Coonoor (near Ooty- my Herald was registered with this series too originally) so both the cars seem to've originated from there.

Yes ajmat!! This one was brought down from ooty!! It was destined as a parts car, but then decided it was too nice to be broken down! think the owner will sell it. plannin to give him an offer! Wot say guys??

Hey I think Ive seen this pic. before in the Samba (site for VWs) or something....

i dont get it why? but so far i have seen more of these VW vans in rusted condition than in restored infact atleast 3/4 of the many vans i have seen are unrestored
that too when there are so many VW fans in the country

BTW randomusername do you have the pic of the restored one?

MDN looks like Madurai registration.Vehicles were registered in few places those days I believe.

man this is the type-II VW im lookin for ..... pre 67 classic shape. If anyone knows where i can find one ill take it even if it needs restoration.
