That's right. I pass by there quite often. It's parked opposite the mechanics shed. I'll enquire with him the next time I'm in the area.

"Many moons ago, I too was beautiful like you", laments the blue millecento. Certainly not a Merry Christmas for her.

Wow beautiful picture, is this shot in West Bengal or Kerala? BTW the Elegant in the picture looks quite restorable if someone will do the honours

The pic was shot in coimbatore.

Both cars in the pix are millecentos. The white one is mine!

The blue one just has elegant tail lights. I have my doubts whether the blue one is restorable. It has been sitting for quite some time and I'm pretty doubtful about the condition of structure.

It has quite a bit of parts though and will be a good donor car!

My thought exactly! BTW, is this parked outside a garage? If so, could try prodding around a bit for the parts. Fortunately it has almost all the parts intact despite being left on the roadside for quite long.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

The blue/white Fiat has been sitting there and in the same condition from 2004 or to be more accurate I have been seeing it there from that year, which was when I moved into Coimbatore. I have approached the owner a number of times but he says the car is not for sale and he is going to restore it. I even offered to jack it up and place it on blocks and give it a coat of red oxide to prevent further destruction but the owner refused even though I said I would do it for free!!! Just cant understand the way some peoples minds work!!

WBC numbered car in Coimbatore.
In all probability its RC has expired & the owner does not have heart to go to WB to get it renewed. So he cannot sell it & restoring it without proper papers will be waste of time & money.

Raab rakha.

Well I had my eyes on it since it moved to that garage but unfortunately the mechanic said it was not for sale.

Sadly, there are a lot of people like that in Coimbatore and Pollachi areas! Heard from my friend that there are lots of FIAT's in and around Pollachi which are in similar state and the owners refuse to sell them and the reason they state is that they are gonna restore it!

Here is a picture of a Dodge Kingsway 1956 - on the way to restoration. Engine has been done - other things need to be taken care of. It runs quite well now. Mohaan
