Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

Aha these are an elderly gentleman's collection of cars. He had some fine ones which are now all over the country. Very difficult to get thru.

The Dodge, Ford A and Morris right at the back are all vintage while the impala , Caprice and another austin is modern/classic range

Cheers

This one is rusting in some garage opposite Kamat Hotel, Lakdikapul. Looks like an Austin Mini Countryman Mark II!

I remember this car when it was in Bangalore. This car was never a Woody, someone has just tried to make it into a woody.

That Austin will be a lot of money if some one would restore it.

They are highly desirable the club man models.

Wow Karlos! Here are some good pictures, and must have taken alot of effort to take them and then search them from your album. Anyways what was the other car next to the Austin, it seems to be a Coupé and I am sure you dont mind burning the grey cells for me to recollect it for the forum members.

@ Moderators A personal request :- From when did team-bhp became a dumping ground for photos taken from other website or portals? Of late I have notice some members doing that; instead we could have continued with the policy of giving the web address or the link in the post, thus stopping the usage of cut copy and paste or atleast refraining the members from doing it and thereby continue with the tradition of team-bhp whose distinguished members had taken lot of efforts, pains, beatings and I am sure lot of money to capture and bring the photos of these or other Cars right from the inception of Team-bhpto us.
Regards
Muzzammil

Shyn....sorry for the late responce as I think I missed seeing this picture. That car in fromis most likely a late twenties Dodge Brothers and the car behind is probably a Fiat of the same vintage.

Can you please go and get better pictures of both ....I think I know who owned these cars. Please try to send me teh regestration numbers as well.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

I like the red/maroon repaint on the E34 Bimmer, but wonder who'd do it straight on the original colour which seems to be white(?)

The spoiler is gone! The body kit looks great. Strange that even after being left to rot at a place like Grant road, it hasn't been vandalized yet!

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

This 520 was originally in Dark blue when imported, then became white and now red. There was some issue right from the time it arrived, thats why the original owner sold it when it was still running....wel almost running. It should be a DL registered car but was always in Mumbai in Bandra W. If its not a DL then i stand corrected.

It is a DL registered car.
I'm suppose to locate the present owner, as a friend is looking at it as a donor car for his Bimmer.
