Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

I'm so extremely sad seeing all these beauties dying on the streets like this. Most of these cars were my dream cars of my childhood days. Times like this I wish I was a was a crorepati so i could pick each one of them up and restore to original glory :-(

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

This is not a 1962 Impala. It is a 1960 Impala and would have been worth more money than a 1962 Impala.

1959 and 1960 were the only two years that Impala had the horizontal wing tail-fins. However chopping off the roof has reduced its value to a junk heap.

Well the Hyd. cars (which used to be seen at Abids opp. Nizam college) were all eventually scrapped of course. There were many Heralds too among them!
And there was an early 60s Buick there that I used to see quite recently, maybe its still there. I havent passed by that side since more than a year now.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

I thought one came across old American iron as pictured below in USA , I was in for a surprise when I stumbled across this veritable treasure trove in the forests of UP . 12 vehicles totally overgrown with vegetation some I could not reach for fear of snakes in the undergrowth , the distinctive JobRated grill is visible in the photograph in which the greenery predominates -

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

Waoo !! This is cool Vintageman.. The pics resemble that of the Junks lying in the woods in the US. All of them seem to be Trucks, The Front grill seen seems to be of a Willys. Whats the one in the First Pic ? Seems like a Dodge to me.
