But anyways awesome pics, right from Mr Hadi (mechanic) workshop at Kali Khabar opp MG Bus Station to the other wokshops located at the Bazaar GHat ( infact this guy had two Mercs and both of them were LHDs) and his Neighbour had a W123 240 RHD MH registered and sold to a person from Vijay Nagar Colony and Finally landed at Aman Bhai's place. Then the Willys and the Golf ond other cars are lying there for more than 2 years. This Mechanic Guy also had a Montego Rover Station Wagon which he sold last year.
Lastly I cherish you capturing the Super Imports of Hyderabad rather than these ones.

Hi ....does that chap Aman and his dad still run a car workshop and sell cars ??? He was opposite the mallepally Guild for a long time.

He bought my crashed Maruti AHX 989 and fixed it up and my Willys Station Wagon too

Ya ...that Willys had a MM 540 Dieselin it but the roof was in a mess.

In typical style Aman had used filler to patch it up instead of new sheet metal.

My grandad had a woody Willy Wagon in black too

I'll search for pics of that wagon but not ure if I have any now.

There is a friend in Dar us Salaam area who has a superb Willys Wagon with all the original trim and the original 6 cylinder petrol engine

One of the shady car dealers and an extremely dodgy mechanic place they had

@Wasif,

Both aman and his dad ahmedullah continue doing business, I remember somewhere on the forum they were mention for the wrong reasons, anyways I dont have anything to do with them.

Why the dead horse?! You could have put your statement in a positive way too! Anyways, I'm on a holiday right now and will be back in a few days, which means I'll be contributing to the Hyderabad Supercar's thread in a week or less from now!
Now you must be thinking how I'm managing to make all these posts in this and the Vintages thread! Well my l'il bro is taking care of it. He is hunting down most of the Vintages (good and also rusted ones!) he can lay his hands on and is uploading them here. He's got a new-found liking for these cars. He is also the one behind this post!

Spotted this Jeep rusting in a petrol bunk. Any idea about the model?!

A Similar Jeep is lying in pune near Bund Garden Road, Behind Ruby Hall Clinic. It is in good shape as is standing in a covered parking in a building. Unfortunately was not allowed to click pics by the Security Guards.

As mentioned above, its a Jeep Wagoner. There was a maroon one like this in Hyd. too. I once saw it at a garage near Lakdikapul around 2006, it had the front windscreen missing. Then someone else posted a pic. of it lying in some lane at Banjara or Jubilee Hills earlier.

There were many of these at one time, all imports (Embassy vehicles I think) that were later auctioned off...many ended up in Rajkot first and got Dieselised! This one may be too.

This one is probably 1970 onwards Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer. Sometime in the early 90's Mahindra had plans to bring the then current model to India.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

This same Jeep Wagoneer guy also has a nice Jeep trailer lying at his petrol pump, I wanted to approach this guy for wagoneer in case it was for sale, then realised not to venture as one of the worker in the pump said it's there for quite some time and owner plans to restore. I guess the owner is still waiting for the right time.

Re: Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

This is what I dreamt when saw this Jeep and it's not hard to bring it to this glory even now. I wish the current owner sees this and get's inspired.

The seats still had the cushions on them (though they were torn) so going by the interiors I guess the engine bay still has the V8, I'm not sure though!

This Ford has been in the same place for quite a few years now, any idea about the model?!

Looks like nobody knows the exact model of this Ford! Anyways Kasli just told me that it's a 1930 Ford Tudor.
There is also this bug rusting in the same place!
