Is this the same garage that's at the dead end when you take a left after Trident?? I think I caught a glipmse of it while TDing the i20 1 year ago.
Now I think I should go look at them in flesh, if this is the same garage.

Premier President Rotting In Pune !!!!

Seen this Premier President rotting in Pune, outside Bhandari Auto Agency (Kenwood Audio Showroom) near Balgandharv Theatre.
The car has still got many original fittings intact & also interiors are in good shape; but coudn't take the clear pics of interiors.
The car seems to be owned by the owner of Kenwood showroom, as on the other side of car, there are quite few Kenwood stickers placed.
Thanks to Pune climate as the car hasn't rusted much as it rusts in Mumbai.
Someone please rescue her.
Here are the pics:

This car had been featured here a few years ago, seems to have deteriorated further:

It was mentioned then that the owner was quoting 40k for it then! So would it be difficult to rescue.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

This Amby mark4 was located behind a govt office, where probably this was lying, quite for a while. The car is rusted but not corroded off and a good paint job can make wonders.

Is the mk4 Amby a classic though? I was under the impression only the BMC-engined mk1 and- at the most- the mk2 were.

+1 on this.

The production of Mk 4 started in 79 and continued till 90 and then came the Nova.

I dont think Mk4 could be counted as classic.

Should be a 1980's model. The dash indicates that the car was the Standard version of the Mark 4. The Deluxe version had the speedo and four meters including oil pressure and the temperature gauges with the warning light cluster in a totally black dash.
The government departments had to compulsorily buy the Standard versions at the DGS&D contract rate.
There was no badging of Ambassadors then as Standard and Deluxe but the interiors revealed the truth.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

The grille of the amby also explains its a Std. version.

If the Mark 4 is not a classic (I am not saying it is), what is the president doing here? it is in no way a classic too.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

Wandered here from another similar post on Imports gathering dust, and this too is really sad.

Reposting here, that it pains to see so many dying a steady slow death.

Most definitely have some story of abandonment whilst some may just be neglect or cost of repairs/upkeep.

Sad.

There are many such examples in Andheri West and Lokhandwala areas too.

Saw the car again recently - littered with goats.
