Ravi ji actually it is in a building in a lane near Tiwari Mithaiwla,, at juhu and the name of the building is DAFFODILS.The car is in a total mess and not even washed for ages.but tyres were not deflated and all windows and glasses were rolled up , in short the car was locked . I dont know whom it belongs to.

Are you referring to a green/black soft-top tourer in South Mumbai?

I remember seeing a very good example of this car in the movie Godfather (the original). Al Pacino was in Italy when this kinda Fiat was shown.
It is a Fiat 508 Balila (1932-37).

A well kept example (source Google images)

Yep, the same one. She was done up very well some years back, but now languishes sadly in a basement..

It is just off Peddar Road, registration is of old Madras series.

Here are a pair of great pictures that fellow member President came across online, but cannot recall where exactly.

They show a '47 (?) Chevrolet Bus/Woody slowly decaying, though as yet remarkably intact (for a van). Has anyone seen this before?

What a pity that such a rare and complete vehicle should suffer such a fate!

I hope someone rescues this soon!

Harit ,

It ia not a luggage carrier - it is an elephant howdah . Presumably it gives a grander look to a small car
