When told about this vehicle, it was described as a Renault R 4 with a modified front end. It is a Renault 6 as already pointed out. These were not the UNICEF vehicles which came to India. So many R4's came to India that locally made spares became available.
There were two R6's in Mumbai, white and dark blue. This is not a classic, not a "collectable", so let her lie at the Bazar for a while.

Cheers harit

WOW! That is awesome. whatever it is. Do you have any more pictures? of the chassis maybe? it's probably a old kit car of some sort. My first guess was a Devin(Bill Devin's Home Page) but now I'm sure it's not.
Where is this?

Recently? VW has been doing amphibious cars from the 1940s. In fact, their 166 Schwimmwagen is the largest produced (in numbers) amphibious car in history.

Here's a pic, courtesy Wikipedia:

2001 Атон Импульс

And what about this 2001 Aton Impulse (Атон Импульс) from Russia
with love ?

It debuted at the 2001 Moscow motor show.

The body is made of FRP. The engine is a 75 bhp 1.5 litre 4 cylinder.
It can do 80 km/h on land and 7 km/h in water.

It is neither left-hand-drive, nor right-hand-drive, but
center-hand-drive

Name: 2001AtonImpulsonland.jpg
Views: 2061
Size: 52.7 KB

It has four-wheel drive, and seven seats.
Flotation, as well as traction while floating in the water, is aided by its extraordinary tires.
