It is Peugeot 504 indeed, superb car of ois time , it had participated in many east african safari rallys similar to earlier 404 another super and strong car.

@ Sagar & Harit : As per the watchman the parts for the said car a lying inside and I am yet to meet the owner. Why they have not put the car under shed, just like the other parts is the question that comes to mind?

This is a Wagoneer, once a quite common vehicle in India. In the 1970's there were many with American consulates and the embassy, UN organisations also had a lot of them. Most of them were petrol engined. As they were phased out, many found their way to Rajkot where they were converted to diesel engined cars. Those engines shook the cars to pieces and they died, falling apart. This one appears to have suffered a similar fate, all over the glasses seem to have been rattled away.
Rajkot guys were pioneers in diesel conversions in India.
I am not sure if this model with the square grill was originally diesel, maybe Ram can give a good background.

hi these kaiser wagoneer came in 65 66 models its original petrol the boot has an nice winding handle to roll the rear windshield it mostly came in green colour nice looking vehicle

This wasnt the bad boys jeep though, but the good guys'!

But I remember there certainly was another one (I think) in this very movie, a red one seen briefly in the fight scene with the baddies, when these guys make their escape in this white jeep. It gets crashed I think.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but the white jeep in the movie is a late 70s/early 80s Chevrolet Suburban
