Field of Rusting Classics.

Yesterday evening I was returning from my friends place and found these three cars in one open ground. I clicked few pics and one person comes near me to ask what I wanted. When I asked whose cars these were, he said it belonged to a garage nearby.

As I was driving through the posh residential locality of HBR Layout, I suddenly find a huge place with full of rusting good old classic cars on either side of the road.

Soon I guessed it right that it was Sreepati's garage. KPS Plymouth too was parked there to confirm that it was Sreepati's garage. As I entered the Garage it was like a different world. Unbelievably rusting old cars everywhere. Felt really sorry for the cars there. Lots of dreams shattered it looked like. Anyways, hope there will be happy ending to these cars.

Here are the pictures. I have numbered each pic.

If I have hurt anyones feelings here.

I am sure couple of them are for sale.

I had been informed about Desoto Station wagon and Willys station wagon which was for sale.

Can any one check for more ?

Cheers

The little wagon next to the white Renault looks like a rare late model Crossley. It would probably be unique in India. I also see a DKW (or is it an Adler?) - also rare today.

What a treasure trove of cars !

The car next to the Renault looks like a crossley as Karl pointed out very rare indeed but could also be a Renault Van.

The car in pic 14 is an Adler Trumf junior.

What are the cars to be seen in picture 9 and 20 ?

I'm guessing the white car with Fiat tail-lights is a ponton? Also arun, I see a pair of Lambretta side-panels lying on the white beetle- the scooter might be lying somewhere close-by in the grave too....does he do up 2-wheelers as well btw?

Thats sripathi's graveyard.

Loads and loads of classics and vintages have been rusting there since long, few good cars saw the ground and have also made it to the local scrapyard.

That guy was good at Tinwork looooooong time ago, but never was good at mechanicals.

I do remember you first telling us about it in KPS' plymouth thread, but in one of his pics. I could see a HERALD too in the background! Whereas I don't see any signs of it in any of Arun's pics.!! This I was looking forward to the most!

KPS restoration started 18 months back. The pics he posted are old ones.

Oh its a rare car! Having Fiat lights on this car, I doubt if the engine is intact... I will find out if any cars are for sale.

Can you post a pic of 220S?
