You can also find this car and house on a few flickr albums. Quite a silent popularity it has become! But very sad as to how!
This car has gone comparitively worse from the time it was last photo'd by sidman. Back then, as you can see, it had the rear numberplate light intact and also the seats, which are ripped off to the meshed innards now!

I've always been curious to see side-view pics. of this car though...viz. the wheels etc. 'guess its difficult with the house on one side and the large ditch outside on the other (right of the car)

'looks more like a Lamby going by the front mudguard and vertical stepney tyre. I can't make out the side-panel details clearly but they seem to be the clip-on type rather than the handled types of the Lambretta.

Speaking of which, I sold a Lamby 150 of mine just yesterday. No regrets though, as I hadn't done anything with it ever since I bought it nearly 2 years ago! Besides, now that I have a Lambretta, I needed to clear up some space as well.

Hi dhrishikesh,

I came across a simillar moped in Hyderabad recently and the owner might be interested to sell it.

I have been wanting to get my hands on one of these and restore it for myself... (always wanted one while growing up but parents were against it)

could you tell me more about this particular model and also how much should one offer for a moped like this.. (the one i have my eyes on is a one owner)

Such a nice Austin - it's a Somerset, right ?
What are those vent like thingies on both sides of the grille ? Aftermarket ??
Can you post pics of the other cars too, especially the Premier estate ?

@superselect - Yup, its a Somerset alright. Seems to have most of the glass and cosmetics intact. And those vents are very much standard.

@wbd8779 - Does this car have papers? Is it for sale?

Its a more or less intact and whatever is missing could be found easily. One thing that you would notice is the car is round all over as in evey part of the body has been rounded in some way or the other. I can help you once the car has been got with the papers.

Re-Austin

Hi,

Am back in delhi, the car may be available , i may know the owner if my memory serves me right, will dig up a few old contacts in lucknow over next weekend and try to get a lead on it.
Will pass on whatever info that i will get , i am personally not intrested in restoring her but would certainly want to help to find a new caring home for her.

@superselect- sorry dont have pics of the estate or the select that i plan to buy, will definitely get the same on my next visit (i come to Lucknow once a month) The owner of the select is asking for 40k , have put down a deposit , the car will be bought and then driven to Delhi , will need all the expert's to guide me through it since i am a absolute newbie to Fiats

Cheers
Salman
