It is a 1942 Ford. It has the original V8 petrol engine which has been started. Tail lights are available on ebay. The clock is not there. Body got dented due to bad handling. It is for sale at a big price since it is very rare - manufacture was stopped for World War II. Mohaan

The car is not dieselised. It has the original 239 cu.in. V8 engine which has been started.

This is truly amazing! It would be a flat-head V-8 when I would have thought the smaller flat-head, in-line would have been used. With all the speed equipment still available for a flat-head, this is like finding a pearl in your oyster.

Pity about the grill, and the front and rear lights -- they make it look like a common Mark 3. The owner must have "upgraded" in the early 80s.

Here is a small story on the Sharknose Grahams from Hemmings. Look at the picture and compare it with the sad state of the car that survuves today in Pakistan.

A friend of mine saw this car in Karachi many years ago, it was a 6 cylinder and had a monogram "Supercharged" on the bonnet. It was complete and even had colour on it.
But do not think that the guys in Pakistan are not aware of this car or know the value. They have been trying to get it in their hands but the owner is a recluse. But they keep on trying. Hopefully one day.............

Recently I received a lot of old magazines and am going through slowly.
In the classic cars of may 2000, our very own tbhpian Kasli had contributed to a discovered section. See the picture below.
The Packard is now his, the other Packard is a 6 cylinder dicky seater restored, probably ex-Nabha. The Lanchester has vanished, I do not know about the Caddy. The Sunbeam + 6 cyl Packard were in Delhi in a workshop along with a number of other cars. The red car on the right of the yellowish Packard was a Chevy Monte Carlo. I too have visited!
Thought that it was a good idea to share this.

Cheers harit

Found this car on the roadside outside a workshop. May end up as scrap in the near future.

Moderator:- I tried to post this in this thread earlier, but could not locate it now. If it is still some where in the system pls delete it.

I saw this today at Matunga. In the same compound there was another car either a dukkar or the '62 model super select. Good condition in a closed garage.

Dr. Ambedkar rd. before the 5 gardens left turn/signal. Ther e is a dealer I think the name is Car Seva. So before his building on the same side is a huge colony, I forget the name " some Nagar" you go into it... straight ahead in the center towards the other entrance...you will see this white car. The other car is black in colour. As you enter, walking you reach the open space after the first building, turn 90 degrees to the left, and you will see some closed garages. I think the garage on the right has this black car.

@deutscheafrikar- Thanks man ! I think it's Agarwal Nagar. I'll go and take a look soon.
@stanher- I think the acclaim was a badge engineered honda ballade - or was it the other way round ? Need to check my old old copies of 'Daily Express World Cars'.
