This is another abandoned car. No idea about where, when or what. Maybe someone recognizes this.
This is what we mean when we say that a car has been run into the ground!

Again no cheers, when we see cars which are run into the ground like this!

How can people let something like this happen ??

Its a 6 cylinder OHV engine with suicide rear doors and sidemaounts.

Curious about its identity. Cant hazard a guess other than that it might be a Chrysler.

This is with reference to the car in the ground pictures.

PS. BTW its strange how the Opal, Vauxhall, Unidentified car with a Packard like dash and the car in the ground all have the same colour

The steering and the gauges are similar but if you look closely the dash has a ashtray mounter center top which is not present on the Hyd Packard's dash.

Also the bonnet side louvres are very familiar, I am sure I know what car it is but cant put my finger on it now.

I am just speculating here but maybe it is a Chevy or Dodge.

This is/used to be a 1935/36 Chevy Master Deluxe.

Thanks for the pictures below. In the third picture there is a willys / ford WW II jeep visible.

Do you have any pictures of this vehicle. Also is it a Willys or a Ford and does it have its petrol engine in it.

Sorry but I do not have any info on the jeep or the Willys as I was not interested, but the owner does have dozens of old and new jeeps and engines.

About this lot of cars with a gentleman from Kolkotta. Well, the pick of the lot would be the Toyota, probably an early Landcruiser. I somehow do not fancy Jeep's.
The Renault is an R4, there are still some lying around the countryside. Large numbers came to India, brought by UNICEF and other UN organisations.
The white American sedan seems to be a Buick, it really looks sad. The other white American with a corner burried in sand seems to be a Dodge, 1952/54 and could even be a stationwagon.
Be careful, if any taxes are pending, it will be expensive to update in Kolkotta.

Ya Harit the Landcruiser caught my eye as well that very paint scheme used to be popular with this car.
