It is indeed Harit's car now. Small world.

Dominator in the forum posted pics of a Buick he had sold to me through Solanki. I never knew that it had come from him. I had met Dominator about 6 years ago in Bangalore with Solanki, next time I was there he was in the other end of town and we could not meet. This time when I was in Bangalore I met his friend and mentioned that I knew Dominator. So he called him and he freaked out because he had just posted the Buick pic and we had had no contact in between. Attached please find pics of the Buick after delivery, about 8 yeas ago. We have only rebuilt the body and kept it. Attached find other pics of similar Buicks.

As for salvagable parts, I will ask the garage owner but I would'nt count on it because he was telling me, If you want you can buy the car at scrap and then do it up for 40K through me or wait till the owner gets around to it and then this car will command atleast 80K to 1L.

But who knows - tell me what parts you need and I'll offer him a couple of hundred bucks for each and see what he says.
The wheels on the first fiat (Select) look original. Think they're usable, or damaged beyond repair ??

Went to the garage owner today. I asked him if he would part out the car. He almost seemed insulted at the notion! "Hum ye Gadi Ko Banane Wale hain" was the reply. Poor Guy was really disillusioned. No customers / Rotting cars and certainly no hope in restoring the Dukkar.

I even went to offer him 2K for the door locks to see if he would bite but he just walked off!

Oh well, all the best to him!

I didn't know you personally when Atul bought the car. I got to know much later that the car went to you. I am so happy it has gone into the right hands. It was my pleasure to talk to you again after so many years.
Please keep us informed & educated @ Team BHP.

OT : Would it be right for me to post pictures of cars from D.T museum in this forum ? I also have pictures from the Black Hawk museum, courtesy, you know whom ? Please advise ?

1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe

This is a 1951 Chevrolet Styleline. It was available in two trim levels: Special or De Luxe.

This specimen is a 1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe -- as it has the stainless-steel trim on the fender which wasn't there in the 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Special.

Was probably America's first notchback that put an end to the old-fashioned slant back bodystyle.

Looks like owner needs to spend a lot to get it restored as almost whole body is heavily rusted. I have a question. In these case i think whole body is made again or still we can get some parts of the body. By body i mean metal sheet

Its a W114/115 one o fthe last tough and rugged Mercs with any presence, if you ask me.
Sad to see one in this condition if its left but looking at the glasses etc, looks more like parked on the road pending a paint job.
