Sad, I will be unable to attend.

Heres wishing the event a grand success!

Another query is that, is the drive from Bombay to Poona, with a stop @ Lavasa?

Or can we simply drive down from Bombay or Poona respectively, stop @ Lavasa, and drive back the following day?

Who all will be attending? Let a list be made.

The Bombay guys will be joined in by the Pune guys just at the outskirt of Pune and then drive on to lavasa.

Please do take the time to read the Pdf file posted by Karl for most of the information you seek regarding this drive.

My brother and myself would be attending the drive.

I guess, you would be attempting this drive in the Packard 46/47 Clipper. You have some fabulous cars like the 170V and of course, the Studebaker Champion.

I would appreciate it if the Studebaker and Packard come together for this drive.

Cheers!

We would be mostly taking the Studebaker and the Caddilac for the drive. The Packard would have just returned from her Jaipur vacation.

Honestly! Give that Packard Clipper some rest! BMX 8998 deserves it! (Though no denying she is working at her best levels!)

P.S: How often is the 170V used? Would love to see her out more often!

Cheers!

My brother loves driving the packard so the rest part really does not hold good.

The 170V has not been properly used for ages now. She just got her mechanicals redone and soon she too would be used, not as much as the packard but for city drives.

No offence intended. But you see my point, dont you? I quite understand your brothers sentiment towards the Packard.

Nice to see the 170V being used!

None taken, you have a valid point there. We do use the cars but the packard gets the spot light for now. Soon you shall see more of the Caddy and the beetle.

The 170V not much just a little.

Thanks Fintail but it all depends on whether the Packard wants to rest ! Also which car would you be joining us with !

170 V getting somewhere in the process of restoration and should be out soon . Other two would be also doing their rounds and will be there for the Drive

Cheers

Why is the Impala in such a bad condition? So much rust on the body!

Its a completely unrestored un touched car that has been in storage for ages and recently been sympathetically recommissioned. While there is some surface rust, its mostly cosmetic.

A look that is much to your liking, if I'm not mistaken!
