Most of the ASS do not rotate the tires unless instructed by customer. It is mandatory for all vehicles to rotate every 10,000kms as you rightly said but they will give all nonsense answers if they don't want to. Sad but true.

I asked them to rotate it as it is in manual, but they refused to do it. They said if I paid for alignment and balancing, they will do it

Re: Wheel Alignment & Balancing

Hello,

I have a 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0L Ambition MT.
I have been having an issue with my Front Right tyre & the air wasn't holding due to multiple punctures at the same spot. Thought of having a spare tyre replace that FR tyre & get by for few days before replacing the tyre. The puncture guy suggested the spare to be a rear wheel than a front wheel as the tyre is one size down & has a speed restriction of 80 kph. So the Rear Left tyre went to Front Right & the spare was the new Rear Left.

All was well, the other day I went to get a new tyre. Got the Goodyear Assurance Maxguard & installed to the Front Right. Got the alignment done as well. Something did not fit right & they fitted the new tyre to FL & the FL one came to FR

Current spec: 185/60 R15
FL - Goodyear Assurance Maxguard (0km old)
FR - Goodyear Assurance Maxguard (16,000km old)
RL - MRF Zapper (47,600km old)
RR - MRF Zapper (47,600km old)

But the car is not balanced at all. Sometimes it pulls to the left & sometimes to the right, it is never center & while maneuvering the car, sometimes it takes heavy input to a slightest rotation of the steering wheel. When I went to the tyre shop again, they checked & said the wheels are balanced & there is no issue with it.

I am confused as to what could be the issue? Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi, which center do you regularly visit? I see multiple in Chennai. Is prior appointment required?

Late to the party.

Unpredictable pulling to either side could be unknown wear profile of FR vis-a-vis new FL, OR it could be wheel alignment issue.

Heavy input into steering wheel wheel alignment is it isn't mechanical issue.

I would suggest to move the rear tyres to the front and see how it goes.
