Guess what, some times the stones are big enough to make a continuous click click. But they get spit later off the tyre when you reach some speed.

But most of them will get off the tyre themselves. Small stones are not a bother.

When you hit different surfaces, the way in which the tyre and the tread patterns make contact, will get rid of the stones.
yea you are right some of them go off on there own, but in my experience in city like bangalore where avg speeds are fairly low and max i manage on ring rd is 80 kmph i accumulate more than i get rid off, hence looks like as long as i have XM1+ on, i will continue this monthly exercise of removing stones from the tread

Why bother? Just leave the stones as it is. Why do you want to take so much trouble for something so useless?

Re: Michelin Energy XM1+ & Bridgestone Turanza ER-60....The Best Allrounders?

I'm looking for 185/60R14 tyres for my Fabia. Tyrestore, Chennai is quoting Rs. 5100.00 per tyre for XM1+. Is it a right price?

I've just fitted Bridgestone Turanza ER60 185/70/R14 on my Swift VDi. The entire character of the car has changed. I would recommend Bridgestone any day!

Re: Michelin Energy XM1+ & Bridgestone Turanza ER-60....The Best Allrounders?

Changed my Punto Emotion tyres to 195/70 R14 XM1+ from the old 185/70R14 A-drives. Immediate difference is no tyre noise compared to the small noise from the A-drives. Upsized as I found the GC not sufficient in the pot holes of Kerala

Re: Michelin Energy XM1+ & Bridgestone Turanza ER-60....The Best Allrounders?

hi, i am plsnning to change my lineas shoes.. which ones are the best to go for? My priority is low noise and harshness from the tyres. Which one do u all suggest?

1. Michelin
2. Yokohama
3. Bridgestone
4. Apollo

Also if i upsize my tyre to 65 instead of 60, how much of ground clearance ll it increase and is there any major disadvantage of doing so?

Suggestions are welcome

michelin would be a good choice considering your priorities. 2nd yoko A drives or apollo.
if you go to 65 you will get 9.3 mm extra GC, but your wheels may foul with wheel well. moreover you will be increasing circumference by >3% resulting in odo and speedo error. check with anybody else having 65 section tyres for Linea.

Thanks for the information. How much problem ll be the wheels hitting the wheel well. If someone has the experience of this, kindly tell because if it occurs frequently, i dont think it ll be worth going for it. As regards the odo-speedo error, i can live with it

Good. Now you are running with 178mm ground clearance. 2 mm more than innova(176 mm).

Re: Michelin Energy XM1+ & Bridgestone Turanza ER-60....The Best Allrounders?

update: i bought michelin primacy LC FOR MY LINEA WITH THE SAME DIMENSIONS AS BEFORE : 195/60 R 15. The dealer discouraged me from going for 65 by showing me the space between the wheel and the suspension handle. It looked like it ll most probably hit the handle while going over potholes.

Following are the pictures

Neat looking set of rubber. How much did they cost to you.
