Does anyone on the forum have experience of using Pirelli P7 205 55 R16 tyres? I am getting them for Rs. 4200 each - tyres are made in China.

Thanks.
Bomi.

What is the week and year of manufacture?

Sweet price, but like nitrous said check the date of manufacture.

Not P7 , But i am using P6000 on my vRs.
They are pretty good.

P7 is an old design used for super cars of the early 80's if I recall

I've put P7 in 195/65/R15 size for a skoda rider and the guy is quite happy with the ride handling and comfort level of these tyres.

The P7 are manufactured in May/June 2008. The guy (Pirelli rep in Delhi) claims P6000 is a tyre meant for Europe and not suitable for India's summers. At Rs. 4200 each, are they a better buy than Yokohama S Drive or Michelin MXV8?

I got them back in July and summers were till late in Delhi.
I did not face any problems with it

Whats the price of Yoko S Drive / Michelin MXV8/ Michelin PP2 for 205/55R16

You're looking at around 7-8k per tyre for the above mentioned brands.

Hm.
What tyres are good for handling at high speeds.
Is the profile correct or will i need to change it?
Also if i need to change the profile, can i retain the spare as the original one ( Haven't used it yet touchwood)

I'd say stay away from these tyres. I had a very bad experience with these.
These tyres didnt last 15K on my Innova. The car mostly runs in the city and still 2 out of 4 tyres had sidewall failure.
BTW who is the tyre dealer you are dealing with

Harsh can you put up pictures of the same ?? What size did you use ?? Where did you pick up your tyres from ??

I was using the P7s in 225/60 R16. I have been using Potenza G3s(secind set) now and am happy with them.

I bought the pirelli tyres from the distributor of Maxxis in Delhi

Currently using the P7 in my Skoda Laura, and its performance is excellent! super grip and all.

Definately recommend for anyone looking for super performance tyres.
