Re: Alloy wheel and tyre upgrade for the ANHC?

@donarun: any increase to city GC is good, will the 195/60 fit the OEM alloys? I might consider. My commute to office is through 5km rough road or read no road. Thus I am more contended with the ride comfort of existing XM1.

Cityvic if you go with 55 profile you will have to give up speeds on rough road as ride comfort will degrade.

Sniper,
Yes 195/60 up size for ANHC will fit the Honda OEM alloys.
I remember that Nihilb has confirmed this in some post and I had also confirmed this with the tire shops when I was considering this up size when I bought my ANHC.

Thats gonna be one mean looking ANHC.
If priority is comfort go for the 195/60 R15, else if looks are priority go for the 205/55.

Will 195/60 R15 fit the normal steel OEM rim as well ? What to do for avoiding warranty issues from Honda ?

I think it can be done and I remember somebody telling me that warranty wont be void if we go in for a wider tyre of OE size. Suspension warranty would be void only if you go in for R16 / R17 types. Experts can confirm this.

On the other hand why would you want to upsize to 195/60 ? It sure helps with a little grip & looks but at the cost of mileage & initial acceleration. Mileage drops by 1.5kms/ltr. I would recommend you to continue with stock tyres unless you have done 20,000kms on it. IMO, upsize for ANHC is not worth it.

Donarun are you serious FE will drop by 1.5-2?
So our car which gives us 9 is city crawling traffic with AC will return 7 when I upsize to 195/60 or 205/55?

Before tyre upgrade I was getting 10.5/ltr but after I get btw 9-9.5. These figures are with AC on full time and city traffic. You could clearly feel the difference in the rolling resistance.

Lenso & HR, they both have good quality alloy wheels. What colour is your car ? Have you got any designs in mind ?

In the service station I saw a couple of ANHC's with after market alloys and stock tyres and they looked good. Ugrade to 195 you would get reasonable increase in grip levels over the stock and 205 would be even better. The wider you go, you incur a proportional drop in mileage. Its your call now, grip + looks or mileage.

Re: Alloy wheel and tyre upgrade for the ANHC?

My car is black.
If it is lenso then I'm getting Project D01 alloys.Hyper Silver
If it is HRS then I'm getting H 204 in chrome.
I'm only opting for fatter rubber because the alloys will tend to have scratches if the the rubber is 175 and if it is 195 or 205,there wont be any scratches due to the fatter sidewall.

Re: Alloy wheel and tyre upgrade for the ANHC?

My understanding is the sidewalls will be thinner not fatter.
195/60 or 205/55 the sidewalls are thinner than 65 OEM spec.

Re: Alloy wheel and tyre upgrade for the ANHC?

guys i am looking for an upgrade to my PP2 in ANHC. I find them too soft and the ABS kicks in Pretty fast.. I drive a bit fast and looking for something thats not too noisy and have good grip in dry and wet conditions..How are Bridgestone MY-01 compared to Turanza ER-60.I think the correct upsize would be 205/65/R15

The size you mentioned wont fit in, the correct upsize is 195/60 R15 or 205/55 R15.
