Tyre recommendations for Skoda Slavia / VW Virtus

Hi everyone, I'm looking to purchase new tyres for my Volkswagen Virtus GT in the next 3-6 months and I want to know what my options are.

Current Specs:
Volkswagen Virtus GT running the factory provided MRF Ecotred tyres (205/55/R16/91H)

My Usage:
Mostly in the city. Highway on the weekend.

Priorities
Handling, braking, grip and comfort. I prefer something on the performance side.
Mileage is not really a concern, but it's a good to have.

Budget:
Max ₹80,000 (Total)

Location
Anywhere in Udupi/Mangaluru.

Additional:
I am not looking to upsize the tyre/change the rims, but I am open to hearing about it if it's good.

Thank you!

I was on the same boat few months back and went for MRF Perfinza, same size as stock.

My first choice was Michellin PS4, however wasn’t able to get one with the same year manufacturing date.

I’ve had a good experience with Perfinza tyres, have been using them for around 5K. Checks all the boxes on your priority list.

You are in luck with that tyre size you have a couple of Yokohama Advan options, Michellin PS4, Continental Premium Contact as well as UC6 the options are plenty Id say go for the CPC for comfort, Advan/PS4 for performance and UC6 or Perfinzas for value

You can look for tyres in Wheel Care, Mangalore sir. They are the official dealers for Michelin

Re: Tyre recommendations for Skoda Slavia / VW Virtus

Thought to bump this thread. Any bhpians with feedback on stock MRF Ecotred 205/55R16 tyres after driving for 1-2 years, and 15k-20k+ km ?

Are they noisy, hard etc etc ?

Getting a new Virtus for my wife, and on the fence on whether to swap tyres out of showroom ?

Its noisy! No second thought. I have been "forced to" running with it for a year now, covered 14K Kms.
I strongly recommend to change the tyres right out of showroom if planing to use Virtus for long/highway drives frequently, not needed to change for City only use, that too in Bangalore use!!

Yeah, just swapped to Michelin Primacy 4ST this evening at Madhus. The P4 were 2424, so had thought of going with xx25 Continental UC6, there was Rs. 2K savings as well per tyre - but finally, went with P4ST - somewhat tougher sidewall, wider tyre, (surprisingly) a bit lighter than UC6, and I have used P4 ST on my Superb, and my wife's Ritz, and reasonably happy with them.
Also P4 ST is W rated to V for UC6.
