Earlier this year Michelin introduced the Pilot Sport 5 which succeeds the Pilot Sport 4 series.

Damn, I'm gonna lose track of all the different variants that are coming out. I'm sure these would be worth a try and look pretty good. But I'd hold off until I see a track review of these. I'm sure they've engineered them to be better than the current lineup. Super Sport were very close to the PS4 in performance but the price difference was substantial, hoping this time the performance difference will be noticeable in line with the price.

Anyone have any idea if and when PS5 will be launched in India? Already out in Malaysia, Australia etc.

Update;

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is now available " officially " in India, currently only in 17".

^ Preliminary information, more data will be available soon on what all sizes will be offered

Seems (in BLR at least), only 225/45/17 available at a great price of ~14.5K while 225/50/17 is expected shortly. More sizes later.

I am guessing these are Thailand-made, and Michelin is absorbing the costs and bureaucracy with the import rules.

Just checked their website, as of now Pilot Sport5 is available in three sizes only
17"- 225/50R17; 225/55R17
18"- 225/50R18

Very very limited I would say but then again audience for these high performance tyres are a niche too since most of the people tend to go with inexpensive, mileage oriented tyres only.

Still a nice option for people who have a passion for high quality rubber to extract maximum performance from their vehicles.

Next year I shall need a set of 205/55/16’s.
I wonder if by then the PS5’s will be available in the size I require.
If not, I am hoping that I get at least a set of Pilot Sport 4’s at a reasonable price, with which to replace my current set.
Else I shall just have to go for Primacy or MRF Perfinza.

Don’t go by the website; it is rarely reflective of ground reality.

As far as I know in BLR at least, 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 are also available.

A few days ago I visited a Michelin Tyre Plus store to get my car's wheel alignment and balancing done, while roaming the store spotted the new Pilot Sport 5 tyres of 225/50 ZR18 spec, it's the size for the Innova HyCross ZX IIRC.

Got a set of (4) Pilot Sport 5 for my Yeti = 225 50 R18. Drive as expected immaculate handler at high speeds! No match.
