Do consider them otherwise you can go with Michelin XM2 if you have money to spare .
Seeing the ER60 first up on the thread was a sheer delight. I had em on my Getz and boy they were splendid. Good all round tyres, if not great in the rains. Lasted me almost 60,000 clicks. So yes the Turanzas get a +1 from me too. I thought Bridgestone doesn't make them anymore. Jitubhai from Saifee suggested I take the ER300 for my Liva as the 60s are discontinued. So I did and they have been incredible too. Compound is a bit towards the harder side but not complaining. Love the asymmetrical pattern on em too.

Go for the Bridgestones! If you have the money, the Michelins. The Continental CC5s also get a humble mention.

44000 kms is more than right time for changing the Bridgestone Ecopias that came as stock tyres. These tyres become quite noisy.

Is Earth - 1 silent enough? And, does it give the same FE?

In my Fiesta, I had XM2s. When the stocks clocked 30000 kms in 2 years 6 months, I replaced all the four into Michelin XM2s, and they took the car all the way till the odo clocked 97000 kms! XM2s are very reliable tyres.

Yes, this is one brand/model you can blindly choose.

But the grip levels offered by certain cars in general allow us to choose other brands too, because they may be more than adequate. Yokohama Earth 1 should be enough too, as much as I hear. At the same time, I see a lot of complaints here about Conti MC5.

Recently one tyre mechanic told me this...sir if the car is BMW etc, Continentals would make better sense... Otherwise, you can go for Yoko or Hankook these days.

Is Saifee a tyre shop in Mumbai? If yes, can please share its contact details and address with me?

Yes. And I just realised the ER60 wasn't available in my size. Hence the ER300. Either ways the Bridgestones are abuse friendly and I love em to bits. The asymmetric pattern is cool.

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Thank you for the suggestions.

I was out for a couple of weeks due to some work but now that i'm back home, i'm seriously considering to replace the tires as soon as possible. Also, I have a few long distance trips planned out in the month of December, so the tire replacement is of utmost importance now.

Roads in Navi Mumbai or Mumbai are not the best roads. There are quite a few potholes and rough patches around. I do not really baby my car but at the same time, i'm not a very aggressive driver. Thus, i want a Tire which can handle rough roads and not get damaged. Also, at the same time they should provide a decent amount of Handling and Comfort. I know I'm expecting quite a lot from a single product. The most important requirement is that the Tire should not get damaged on Rough Roads.

I have faced only one puncture on my Bridgestone Ecopia Tires in the last 45k kms.

Also please suggest a good Tire Shop in Navi Mumbai. Saifee in Santacruz, is quite far away from my place.

Thank You

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Thank you for starting this thread. I am in exact similar situation like yours. I have a Nov 2017 bought Dzire ZDI+ which has run 44000Km and is still on stock 185/65 R15 Bridgestone Ecopia. The tyres have enough tread depth left in it but the tyres have become hard and is clearly felt in the ride quality. I also have had around 4-5 punctures till date.
Have you changed the tyres yet? If yes, then what did you change to?

I initially thought of changing the tyres to Yokohama Earth 1 but later planned on changing the tyres to Michelin XM2+. It is a newly launched tyre by Michelin which is better than XM2 and has qualities of Primacy 4ST as mentioned in the post here https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-...ml#post4911420 (Michelin XM2 Tyres in India)

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Initially I had booked a swift zxi but at the last moment I got the dzire vxi. When I had the swift in mind I was sure I would change the rims to aftermarket ones and keep oem tyres as its a sporty looking car.

In my search for rims I realised I will not get anything less than 6.5j as I wanted to keep them 15's and not mess around with oem sizes. Mumbai dealers are mostly hopeless as they hardly respond. I got more responses from places like Jalandhar and Ludhiana. I also got best prices from Punjab.

Once I changed the booking to the dzire I just decided to buy the zxi+ rims which look awesome and have have the machined black finish and multi spoke design and are also 5.5j which is exactly what I wanted. Ordered them from a sai service mga store near my place for 25k for 4. You cant go wrong with oem rims made by Minda and you can buy as many numbers you want. I'm thinking of getting a 5th for the spare wheel as well along with the tyre. Went with conti uc6 and they're awesome so far in the city. Haven't gone on the highways yet.

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Any suggestions to choose between Yokohama Bluearth AE51 195/60 R15 and MRF Pirfinzas? I got new Dzire (ZXI+ AMT) with Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 185/65/15 and planning to upgrade to 195. Primarily looking for less road noise and ride comfort.
Michelin is unavailable in 195/60 R15.

TIA

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I am using Yokohama BluEarth GT AE51 tyres and I find their ride quality to be supple and comfortable and road noise well contained. Expansion joints on flyovers, rubble strips on roads are dispatched with ease with a noticeable lack of vertical movement and juddering. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I changed to Yokohama BluEarth GT AE51 @Madhus, near Lalbagh. Ride is comfortable, road noise is reduced and steering is bit hard.

I will post my updates after driving sometime.

Thanks.

Funny; for me the steering effort actually went down after I switched to these tyres.

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I drive a 2018 Maruti Dzire ZXI+ which came with Bridgestone ecopia and ran it for 20K km until changed to 195/60/R15 profile Yokohama S-drives. The road grip is light years ahead of the Bridgestone tires, fun to drive and good looking too.

Having used Michelin tires for my other vehicles, the Yokohama S-drive was a welcome change.

Glad to know! I was using Michelin and Yoko Earth 1 in my Ertiga/Swift/Ritz, didn't notice much differences. But, these are much better the stock tyres at any time.

Re: Maruti Dzire 3rd-gen : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Going to change my stock MRF ZV2K on Swift Dzire VDI.

Planning for Yokohama Earth-1 which was also suggested by the tyre shop guy. I wanted to go for Michelin's but they have stopped 14 inch ones as of now.

Also upgrading the tyre size from stock 165/80 R14 to 185/70 R14.

Any suggestions / feedback on this would be appreciated.

Any ideas on a good tyre shop in Ghaziabad ?
