Since you are in palakkad why don't you make a quick trip to Coimbatore ? Wouldn't it be easier for you to find good designs and a variety of brands in cbe than palakkad ? Just in case you are in mangalore, make a trip to bangalore with the car. There are loadsa dealers here.

Rather save that up and change alloys every 6 months or so.

Re: Best brand of Alloys in the Indian market

Coimbatore dealers tend to shove their choices (both tyres & alloys) up our throat. Only slight exception is Sri Vari aligners; RHS after LMW junction on Avinashi road.

He used to have great collection, but now he has started pushing Nankang tyres & unknown alloys.

But by then the alloys would actually cost more than my Figo's market value.

Do they make it in 14"

I will have to enter politics soon or try to learn Yoga. Hmmm!

I had seen a BBS brochure with Mahesh which says about a wheel with air cavity inside the spokes (inspired from skeletal bones?) I guess it will be the same you mentioned.
You crack me up, Sir!

If you're keen on some reasonably priced wheels, I would suggest Lensos. AVA wheels are pretty decent too. I'm sure you'll find a dealer that sells Enkeis. They're slightly more expensive than Lensos, but come in some attractive designs.

2) Global Tyres on LHS towards Kaloor after Mamangalam accessory shops. They have a bigger outlet on NH byepass somewhere between Vytilla & Palarivattom.

3) Tyrex has many brands but mostly unknown chinese or expensive MOMOs.

4) Neo wheels sell retail in Kochi only through Carnation. But they have a stockist in Elamakkara (9895703807) The godown is so hard to find that i am unable to explain. You can call up this guy after entering Deshabimani road/the road that turns left from Modern bread factory. very very VFM.

Other alloy dealers like DBS, CarPalace etc does not have much stock.

Hope this helps.
Global tyres outlet in byepass is @ Nettor (on way to Aroor from Vytilla)

@Mt.olympus

The main problem with unknown brands are that we don't know if it is worth the money or not.

I guess the shop is Tyre Port?

Re: Best brand of Alloys in the Indian market

From TyrePort Go 100 metres forward & across the road is Sri Vari Alignerrss (Not a typo error)

Mahesh (owner) will send his guy with you to his godown where you can select the alloys. Make sure you don't fall for their pressure tactics. If you are not happy just walk out.

They will guide you to buy Nankang/Pirelli although they have other tyres in stock.

Re: Best brand of Alloys in the Indian market

They have HR, Lenso for sure. AVA (or something similar) used to be there.

Michelin, Continental,Pirelli in tyres.

But this was some time back.

Re: Best brand of Alloys in the Indian market

Prestige was quite popular till about 2 years back, though they seem to have lost the favor with people these days. It could be due to limited designs that the company has. But in case, you want to still check them out, they used to be marketed by a dealer by the name of "Universal" in Delhi.

Why don't you consider some other companies like maybe from Neo, Apollo or HRS?

I would love to consider other alloys specially HR, however i am looking for alloys for my XUV and its only Prestige that has alloys for it. I have been following up with many dealers here in delhi but cant seem to find any alloys. Finally today got a confirmation from the Prestige dealer that few of them are here finally so just wanted to know how they are.

Re: Best brand of Alloys in the Indian market

Hi,

I was wondering if any one has any experience with the MOMO's.. I am planning on purchasing the Quantum or Coarse for my Jetta. I am considering 17s, with a 225/45 tires. It would be great if anyone can suggest the best tire brand that would suit this rim for city driving.
