wheel balancing

i went to my local tyre guy he said i will have to change my rims cause it requires like 200 gms of wght is trhat true or can i attach that weight i have a tata safari aura rims and bridgestone tyres i am planning to go for a michellin option please advice whether it is worth spending that kind of money in rims and tyres

If i am not mistaken,

Aura alloys = warranty, so that is your worst case scenario.

First, go get a second opinion.

Second isolate the problem as being with your rims.
Maybe you can put JUST the rims, (without the tyre) on the balancing machine and see ?? (< this might not work because of the weight of the valve not being counter balanced by the tyre''s heavy spot as it normally is?....but was just an idea)

rehaan aura alloys are out of warranty car is old ...4 years old ans so are the alloys ...will check out the post you told me
