After ~22k kms and four years, my X3 needed tyre replacement. As 19" stock RFTs were not readily available with the BMW dealer, I explored outside. With a leap of faith, I went with a local tyre dealer who managed to procure Q4 2023 manufactured grey imports of Bridgestone Alenzas at about 15% cheaper than BMW quoted rate.

Other than no pucca invoice, just by the look of it, one can't tell the tires are grey market. X3 was factory fitted with made in USA Alenzas, while these are imported from Mexico. Done about six months and 3k kms with these, they look good. Finger crossed. My thinking is since these are high-tech tyres coupled with low volumes, it is less probable to be a duplicate.

If you are in Pune and okay with such arrangements DM me and I can connect you with this tyre dealer.

Cheers,
-BJ
