It'a a Swift ZXi.

Three options: 205/55 R16, 215/55 R16, 225/50 R16. Limited tyre choices in all of them.

I just hope the tyre does not scrape the wheel arc..I think225/45 with 17inch rims will do touch the wheel arc on long drives with a loaded car,so I am planning for 16inch..still in plan to even book the car what is the actual size that comes with the car??

Thanks, guys

@rjstyles, yep, bitten by the S-drive bug! I loved the tread design the moment I saw it. And my favourite brand (Michelin) did not have tyres in this size. (I may still have bought Yokos over Michelins to save some green, but now I can do that without any regrets, heh heh).

@Ishaan, thanks! I'd actually finalised on them last week with a not-so-sure feeling (I had to order them from the catalog), but when I saw them with the tyres fitted yesterday, I knew I'd picked good ones. I love the way they look on the car. Apparently the dealer got a load of enquiries from others for these rims within the the couple of hours they were put for display, waiting for me. My dealer has not yet sold any of these rims here in Kochi. I hope Lenso go out-of-stock on these for a while now *selfish grin*

@ramie, as Ishaan said, its a Swift ZXi. I saw 205/55 R16s in Yoko S-Drive when I'd been searching for mine.

@JayD, yep, took delivery yesterday evening. Alloys fitted already. Didn't want to click pics in the night with my E90.

BTW, the ride-comfort is not so bad with 16" rims (and 50 profile tyres). A bit worse than the Palio with 50 profiles on 15" rims, but not at all bad. I did have to go through a short patch of bad roads yesterday, but I was quite ok with the ride.

With 205 or 215 there would be no problem at all. I've seen quite a few Civic's in Delhi with 225/45 R17 & it's a correct upsize too but for our highways it's a bit too extreme.

Stock size is 195/65 R15. Ask the dealer to give you Bridgestone B250's & not the Goodyears. With Bridgestone's you'll get a better exchange price.

@Hydra, thought you'd given up your PP2s for S-drives! Then saw Ishan's post saying they were for a Swift.
Would be good if you could post some feedback on the Yokos, comparing them with the PP2s.
And how much did the tyres cost you?

@nikki, thanks I do think they are a bit overinflated now. Will try from 30 psi onwards (am very concerned that the lip shouldn't get bent from lack of rubber/height between the lip and the road)

Initial impressions of the Yokos on the Swift are completely positive. Will put up a review once I've driven a bit more with the Yokos. I've done only 200 km on her so far, and I haven't gone above 70kmph yet. But grip is excellent and road noise is lesser than the PPs, I feel. (I had PPs and not PP2s on the Palio). I feel the ride comfort was a bit better with the PPs on the Palio (205/50 R15) as against the Swift (205/50 R16), but then, since the car is different, I don't think that is a completely fair thing to say. The ride-comfort with the S-Drives (shod on 16" Alloys) on the Swift is quite ok. Not jarry or jittery, but taut. I like it this way, actually. The tyres ran to 5800/- apiece.

Some pics [a couple too many, I know, but do bear with me -- new car, more need to show off ]

For the record:
Car: Swift ZXi
Tyres: Yokohama S-Drive, 205/50 R16
Rims: Lenso MW 16", 7J, Hyper-silver, Chrome Lip

The tyres do not scrape anywhere even on full lock. The ride quality is quite acceptable (to me).
