Ouch, that hurts!

I have had good experience with them. Never had any cause to complain. Maybe it might have been the rapport with the SA and a head mechanic. But, having said that, the last two service was done at Surakshaa, at Hosur road.

300 rs. to mount tyres is very expensive for a 2 min job on each tyres.

he had no idea on Castor, camber and toe. they just knew that the service center has to fix the Castor. They just went by the computer readings rather than using their judgment in addition to what computer said. these led me to believe that they were not very knowledgeable.

Well Dieselfan, looks like that outlet of Sai Iyengar is not upto the mark. The Indiranagar store is an entirely different story, though. It has very modern and new equipment for wheel balancing and wheel alignment. I felt more comfortable getting my wheel alignment/balancing there, than in the A.S.S.

BTW, what according to you is a reasonable charge for removing 4 wheels, removing old tyres from 5 wheels, putting on those 5 new tyres ?

changing tyres, balancing and alignment put together shouldn't cost more than 700-800 rs.

Most dealers will not charge you for fitment if you buy tyres or alloys from them. If you buy it from outside, they will charge you.

300/- for 5 wheels might seem expensive to you but the mechanic is putting in some work. There is a value to that as well. Any decent shop which uses a proper tyre changer will charge you this much.

Slightly OT, but where can I buy a genuine tubeless tyre puncture repair kit in North/Central Bangalore apart from JC Road?

^^I got mine from Madhus Tyres on Langford road (close to the double road end). I get all my tyre work done there. Nice shop with really modern equipment.

Best shop for alloys in Bangalore

Apart from 'Hot Tracks' which other good Alloy shops are there in Bangalore? I tried searching if there is a thread on this already but could not find one.

hot tracks has the widest selction no doubt, you caould also check out Autofusion in Koramangala, Evo Cambridge layout, Sprocket Koramangala.
Shops dotting JC road also have some good designs. Car Shringar is one of the biggest there, from personal experience he can be avoided.

What are you looking for? A wide variety to choose from or rare designs?
As far as I have seen, the big shops don't always have the best alloys.
Evo has some neat designs.

You can try “Gear up” in Jayanagar, he would be able to get your choice of alloys. You just need to tell him what you need and he will arrange for it.

Its located in Bishop Cottons school complex (not very sure if the complex belongs to the school or not, but it is just before the school) on Residency road. Very expensive compared to other accessory shops.

There is one in residency road and other in victoria layout. You can expect 500-1000 bucks extra on all the products compared to other car accesories shop.
