and am very disappointed with the ride quality. at 33 psi F and 30 R the ride is VERY STIFF and I can feel every crack in the road. Not yet tested the grip levels but the ride sucks big time.

Goan Dude, Try reducing the pressure to 32 and 29 in the rear. 30 IMO is too low for a diesel Dzire. Also you shifted from a better quality tyre to an ok quality tyre yoko vs mrf, so that could be one of the reasons for a harsh ride.

I am replacing my tubeless tyres with Bridgestore now.
I used Michelin for 4 yrs and in 32000 km , they are now wearing out.
so this time decided to go with some other brand except Michelin.
I have a stepney that i used only 1 or 2 times in last 4 yrs , that too only for 1-2 kms, so it is as good as brand new 4 yr old tyre
so i asked dealer to replace only 3 tyres and i can use this stepney as 4th tyre and can retain one good tyre from this old 4 as a stepeny , but dealer insisting me to replace all 4 , he said though this stepney is never used , its 4 yr old tyre now , it cannot match with other , balancing will not proper , rubber get hard in 4 yrs and so on
so my question is , is it perfectly Ok to have 3 new and one my 4 yr old new stepney or do i really need to repalce all 4.

You must replace the complete set. Also, when getting your new set please do not accept any tyre that has a mfg date beyond last one year, 6 months is recommended though.

And if one has 5 same sized tyres then a 5-tyre rotation is the way to go to avoid situation that you are in. It'll enhance every single tyre's life by at least 5k kms, even 10k kms depending on when the complete set is replaced. This is going by the logic that every tyre sits in the tyre-well for 5k kms at every rotation.

Guys a quick question.
What would be the ideal upgrade for the New Swift ZDi for the following requirement:
A little wider contact patch
Reduced noise
Better grip

The stock tyre size is 185/65 R15.

How about a 195/60 R15? The difference is not that much but I really don't understand whats written below :confused:. Please help along with a brand suggestion. Thanks in advance.

You only gotta look back a few pages to see what all brands are available viz. Michelin, Yokos, Apollo, Bridgestone etc. Depending on your budget you can easily narrow one down.

As for the chart above, it shows the error (in speed & odo) with change in tyre dimension such as sidewall height/diameter etc.

Guys , in my friends swift zdi i saw the recommended air pressure in stock size (185/65/15) is mentioned as F - 36 / R - 33.. He is going for an upgrade to 195/60/15 with michellin primacyLC. What should be the ideal air pressure after the upgrade to 195/60 tyres?? Any suggestions please..

Earlier i was using 30 on all tyres and on a recent highway trip used 33/31 but
felt the ride to be abit on stiffer side.

So i guess 32/30 should be perfect.

@ Schoudhary , But my query is that these air pressures are for stock size only(185/65/15) , I wanted to know the pressure for the upgraded tyres in the size of 195/60/15 for the new swift Zdi. Will they be same or different to the ones recommended for stock size?? Thanks in advance..
