I have covered 569km with new set of tyres.

I have read quite a lot about how the C.drive makes the steering lighter. Never had a chance to drive anything with C.drives, so don't know yet.

569km is not far from the running period for new tyres. Drive a little more and pls update on the steering feedback.

Btw, YOKOHAMA Europe: Home shows the new C.drive 2. Do we get it here?

If R14 then - 195/65/R14 or 185/70/R14

If R15 then - 195/65/R14 or 205/60/R14

IMO 185/70/R14's are more than adequate for any kind of driving. I have Michelin XM1+ on my car since 39000 km's and I have never seen them lose ground and I pretty much drive till the top end whenever I can.

I too have Michelin XM1+ 185/70 R14 on my swift and having done speeds up to 160-165 and cornering at decent speeds, I'd recommend them anyday. I have been to some real bad roads on the hills on them and not a single puncture, highly recommended.

185/70/14 are stock tyres only for the ZXi version. For all others, it is 165/80/R14. You can safely change to 185/70/14 on the stock rims,unless you want to go for alloy wheels. 185/70/14 is a good choice as far as ride,handling ,comfort and mileage are concerned.

@aks ZXi comes with alloys only as a default.....i am a bit confused whether going for 185/70/14 or 195/65/14....

I had the XM1+ 185/70/14 on aftermarket alloys on the Swift and it performed very well. It is more than adequate with regard to handling and comfort.

However, the 195/65/14 will look better as it’s wider compared to 185/70/14. But both have near identical tyre wall height, so the meter readings will be the same.

Steering feedback and steering light/heavy are not the same thing. the feedback may change with running temperature of tyre. Steering light/heavy will not.
I don't see any change as steering being light and heavy.

I didn't say that feedback and heaviness are the same things. Good to know that you have found a good set of tyres in C.drives for your car.

am looking to change my swift vxi tyres. i have 15 inch alloys and the car is currently on avs es 100's with 195/60/r15. wouldn't want to go with avs es 100's again..

I am looking at a decent set of tyres with low road noise and decent performance.
please provide a few inputs with costs.I was budgeting around 4.5k a tyre ( dream?).
leaning towards michelin/ yoko.

Cost as on 25th was 4500 and dealer told me that prices are going up from 1st july to 4700

Yoko S Drives seem to be out of place here. I really liked the liked and it's performing well on my Swift. 2 years on and clocked 25kms without a single puncture (touch wood). I find it gripping the road well and feel confident while cornering. But since I have low profile ones, it's not comfortable on rough roads. Since I got it at a discounted rate (3700/- a piece) I went for these. Overall, am completely satisfied with S Drives.

Its my first tire upgrade to my swift. I had a look today at a Michelin showroom, they offered me Michelin Energy XM 1+

Is Michelin Energy XM 1+ - size (185/60 R14) recommended?

Incase of an upgrade what size or brand can I go for?

I have been quoted 4650 appox for Michelin Energy XM 1+, is it the right price?

Swift Zxi owners what do you recommend?
