Sapna, Is it a painting or a photograph? You really must have some real photographic talents. When I see these kind of places, I would be there for days and days to enjoy. This photo is my wallpaper now.

I have heard that in Himalayas everything is beautiful.

Now I belive its beautiful only because of few people like you who dedicatively capture and present her beauty to the world. Hats off.

"We all can see beauty but only a photographer can SPELL beauty"

Keep the good work on sapna.

I was waiting for this travelogue ever since Chandan posted that he is doing this trip in his Getz. I am now more confident about taking my car if not now, sometime in the future. Great photographs and beautiful scenery.

Did you take any particular precautions for the car? About the skid plate, where did you get it done and how much did it cost? Information on that would be helpful

Well, very different and one of the finest. The log is filled with considerable information, is quite crisp and moved at a pace of a Hollywood blockbuster. Congratulations to both of you for completing this incredible road trip.
I was on NH8 driving to a town in Haryana few days back and met a biker on a Dhaba during my tea break. He had left his job to do his second solo Leah trip and was coming back after spending about 12 days in hills alone. He still had few days to reach back to his home in Chennai.

Rating 5 star

It costed us around a lac. Before the trip, we got the 90K routine service done & after the trip it was the 1 lac service where the brake liners, stabilzer bar link assembly & bush had to be changed.
During the trip I had to top up the coolant once & clean the air filter (I had carried the K&N cleaner kit) .No checkups, no alignment, absolutely no visit to the mechanic.

Sorry Gopal, Chandan and Sapna,

I wanted to change the sentence to "Keep the camera on for more snaps sapna" but my boss suddenly stepped into my cabin (and you know what would have happened after).

You mean just Daman, don't you? Diu is over 600 km away from Vapi.

Yes, they tried to go to Daman and take the coastal road via Bordi, but after turning off NH8 at Vapi, they found the road jammed, so they quickly U-turned and changed their plans.

Have been said umpteen times before, let me say that too. A TL with a difference. You even managed to somehow take pics which look so different than others Laddakh blogs.

A naive question here, do you mean a normal car (say a hatch or entry level sedan) and not a SUV and no-offroader can't make this trip?
