Anyone who would like to see animals other than Tigers please visit my travelogue here.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...e-beckons.html

It only has 3 photos as of now as I am yet to finish this and also sort the 1000 snaps I took. to top it off I need to optimize as well! So stay tuned to it and you will get to see wild dogs (Dholes), Elephants, Gaurs, Deers (Spotted and Barking), Sambar, Wild boars, serpent eagle, grey-headed fishing eagle, changeable hawk eagle, flame back wood-pecker, pond heron, common lizard, flying lizard, Giant Malabar Squirrel (not a great photo but can still make out), etc. Sadly couldnt capture the bear with cubs (too quick to go under the think lantana) and leopard (bad light)

I think we should have a dedicated wild life photos thread where people can post their wild life photos for everyone to enjoy.

Hi Guys
Its been a very eventful month for me.
The national level wildlife photography exhibition was a grand success.
Thank you all the participants including many team bhp members and the citizens of Nagpur for making this event a huge success. We as organisers have learnt a lot out of this and we hope to implement all the changes in future editions of the Jungle Book . We have decided to make Jungle Book - The competition and exhibition a Biannual feature in the wildlife events circle of India.

This event saw a lot of firsts for all the guys. DD, AajTak , NDTV ensured that our event got coverage nationally.

We are putting together a video exhibition of the entire event which will be uploaded shortly here as well as on the website. It will ensure that " Jungle Book - I " becomes a part of Wildcats legacy. We are planning to go from strength to strength in all our future events. a final word of thanks to all our sponsors without whos help this event would not have been possible.

Here are some teaser videos of the event.

Back to pench after the exhibition

Hello everyone
I was back at Pench with a group of 22 conservation minded friends from Hyderabad and we had a great time viewing animals including 7 tigers over 3 jungle rides ( 1 1/2 days) .

There was also a mini workshop on wildlife photography organised for some of the members.

Here's the comprehensive writeup about this event
http://meetup.ghac.in/calendar/13159491/

Here are some of the photographs from those 3 drives.

Dr. Ghosh,

This new post is taking me back in time, Lallan and all.

Loved the action and fun you all are having and your Gypsy looks a killer.

The initiative and success of Jungle Book was a lot of hard work put in by you and your colleagues, it has definitely paid off. Congratulations!

Do mention the winners of the grand prize, also other prize winning photographs.

Loved the "spot the tiger" photograph, the back lit langur and the Emerald dove too. this is what every Indian jungle should be.... with a healthy cat and prey base population.

Wish I could make it though.

Regards,

Sir
Why dont you take a 2- 3 day break from your jeep building exercise and come on a visit here. I am sure you will go back with your batteries recharged and a different man altogether. GHAC is again planning to come back to pench. You may club your visit with them.

Pench is a heaven these days with wonderful management by the park authorities. Although 60 vehicles go into the park daily, there is no crowding on any route unlike in kanha and bandhavgad and wildlife is plentiful all over the park.

Its a sure treat to be in these jungles at this time.

regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

Hello,

I envy you guys. You could watch tiger in Tadoba.
I am from Chandrapur, (Tadoba - 45 kms ) and visited Tadoba umpteen times since child hood to have glimpse of him but unlucky so far. Though, living away for almost 20 years, but catch Tadoba whenever I can.

I still remember, we cycled to Tadoba from Chandarapur (45 kms) and those days inside guest house, close to Lake, dark nights, listening to jungle calls...so nostalgic and beautiful.

Cheers.
uday.

uday.
Uday,
Definitely unlucky or mistiming. If you can't see tigers in Tadoba and Pench then nowhere are better tiger shows than here and other parks of central India.
Or...There can't be two tigers too close in each others territory (you being one).
