It was misty  Jr. PPG very happy to go for chocolates  That's the way to our room  It's been three years since we came to Ooty. I have completely forgotten where the chocolate factory was, all I remembered was that it was on a hairpin curve. So we decided to check all hairpin curves near Ooty Boys Company  A landslide prone area  Views from there  Some more views of the valley     Civvy enjoying the misty drive  By now we have done 40 KMs and no signs of Chocolate factory .continued... |

| Re: Swifted : Ooty Day 02 18th August 2012 We were very happy to have seen the train, and the chocolate factory searching episode was forgotten. I think I must read my own logs before I travel . Any ways, the train was a nice touch to a beautiful day. The train timings at Lovedale for you to plan  The ticket costs if you plan to travel too  There are two retiring rooms at Lovedale  Costs of the retiring rooms  It was already 18:30 hours by now and we returned back to our resort. After reaching the resort I saw a SMS from Satrvegabond that he has started to Mysore. I was not sure about his trip to Ooty as he had his parents with him and Ooty was a long drive for them. I called mjothi and updated about the same, deciding that we will sync up the next day if Starvegabond comes in. Went to restaurant and fought the battle of food and conquered a table. By now we were experts in war By 22:00 hours we hit the bed, and thus a beautiful day ended. |

| Re: Swifted : Ooty We have been planning a trip back too Ooty (its been 17 years since I was there last) and I have read most of the posts on the routes and everything else. We will most probably make the trip in the first week of Oct. Since this will be the first I will be driving to Ooty I am a little apprehensive considering that it will be the entire family packed into the SX4. Your pictures of Lovedale brought back so many memories. I studied at Lawrence Lovedale for 4 years before returning to Bangalore. Enjoy reading about your trips so keep them coming .Parik |
