The photos are breathtaking, so I can only imagine what it must have been to witness it in person.
I am sure there would be many others like me heading towards the Nilgiris asap .

Day 4, November 30th 2009 continued

Pykara Falls

In another few minutes we reached Pykara Falls. You have to park on the main road and walk for a kilometer to reach the falls - it cannot be called a falls, its just a flow thorough some undulations and is not tall at all. But it is beautiful.

Rams, Thank you.
Yes, our India is so beautiful. I was going ga ga on european stuff in 2003 - 2005, and when I visited Himalayas in Sep 2009 - I was floored. Our India is indeed beautiful, and we just have not seen her enough.

2009 Trip log is nearing an end, but don't worry I'll get some more details of the 2006 trip and photos for you guys.

laluks,

Your travelogue is so far, the best I have come across! I came across this today and could not stop reading page by page . Brilliant pics too!!! I had been to Ooty on the weekend, but could spend only a day as I was short of time. Your photographs inspired me to pay a visit again sometime this month. And this time, I would definitely find more time to stay there to explore all the places. Thanks for sharing this travelogue
